They actually really hurt when I'm trying to trim their nails. I'm one of the only groomers that take dogs with behavioral issues, because I don't like what sedation does to their livers. Angry yorkies need training

I have a 3yr old Yorkie and I would pretty much put my life on the line for him as silly as that may sound. He's my best buddy and follows me everywhere and is so affectionate and he's such a good boy. I love him so much ❤️

Feel you. Lost my Roxie last year October 17, just three days before my birthday. She was not just an emotional support Yorkie, but also my best friend. We'd do so much together and there was so much she enjoyed and loved. She took her last breath in my arms.

I‘m thinking about adopting this breed soon. I used to have an american bulldog/schnauzer and I loved his expressive personality and close bond to me. However, I don‘t have as much time as I used to and I am now looking for a small dog who is energetic and intelligent who I can bring everywhere but will also enjoy hiking trips and come for a run with me etc. Do you think a Yorkshire Terrier would work for me? I‘m worried they are a bit too small for my active lifestyle

@@baddieliftsdo it! I have a yorkie (actually 2) and one of them really loves to nap, and nap only. He’s different then the others. So if you want a dog that loves you and loves to sleep, search for one like my dog! But if you want to have one that loves to play, it’s not that hard to look. Some websites list their personality’s like “loves to sleep” or “loves to play”. So look for a personality that fits your type of speed! But most importantly, do your research on how to take care of a yorkie! Or any dog for that matter. I don’t care which dog you choose, but always do your research.

My home & heart are empty without a Yorkie. These tiny giants are incredibly intelligent and bossy lol. As a large dog owner for 50 years, I didn't know what I was missing until I was blessed with mine❤

Lol. Their cuteness makes you give in to their demands. My girl Bella fusses at me to get her way.

Our neighbor's Yorkie is one of the few small dogs that befriended my dog. Usually, he just straight up ignores them or gently pushes them away when they are hopping on him, but whenever he sees mentioned Yorkie, he gets super excited and his tail becomes super fast. I'm not surprised, though, that little pup is textbook definition of bundle of joy.

A Yorkie who lives close by from my house was interested in my dog and soon they became friends but they had to move sadly. I think he liked her more than just a friend though 😅

Our 8 year old Yorkie would rather meet humans than another dog...she more or less ignores them except if they walk by the house or campsite then she gets her watch dog side out!

Very feisty and full of life and personality!!! Love them too pieces

My neighbors have one. He was a cutie that immediately rolled over to get some scritches, only a little territorial with fences between. They don't walk their dogs, they don't train them, just let them out in the back yard. His older neurotic chihuahua sister raised him. It started with a little barking but it was never corrected. At this point he scream-barks at everything that moves in the yard, he has enough energy to keep barking for hours until he starts coughing. His owners don't correct him, only when they have people over they will half ass trying to distract him with treats. By now he's no longer friendly and he will go after my dog if he gets the chance. I feel for this dog, I know it's not his fault.

LOVED MY HARLY SO MUCH . HE PASSED 3 YEAR AGO IN JUNE !! HE WAS THE LIFE OF OUR HOUSE . FIERCE 4 LB.PROTECTOR AND MOUSE CATCHER !!

My Rupert is now 14.5 years old. He is such a good boy. Now blind and deaf, he use to play fetch like crazy! I miss that, but also am trying to enjoy his golden years. I will say that he was one of the most difficult pups to house train!

I have two yorkies and they are the best! One is 15yrs old and still going strong. We’ve had lots of different breeds over the years and these two are the sweetest most loving girls ever.

Boy are they SMART!!!! And ooh so cute!!!! My teacup yorkie is the smartest dog I’ve ever had or met! She knows many words… she’s so intuitive, she’s so good with time keeping, super demanding and independent. I just can never get over how unbelievably smart she is!!! She’s one little girl you can’t trick!

This explained my Yorkie in more than 2000 languages😂😂😂

a friend of mines Yorkie would do that too when I would visit and then go to walk through a doorway, like he thought I was leaving. My friend said she has no idea why he did that. I do think her keeping him in the kennel during the day when she wasn't home had something to do with it.

You will not regret it. They capture your heart, feisty, smart and demand to sleep on you every night. One of the best breeds I’ve owned!

I’ve actually had the big Yorkshire terriers and I’ve also had a small one and I’ll tell you now the small ones have a bigger attitude than the bigger ones and if you do not want a dog that yaps all the time or barks that’s one you don’t want. Because when you get them around people, they don’t know they will never shut up, but if you can bypass that and see through it, they can be some of the most lovable ones, but they are not great with small children unless they’ve grown with them from a baby.

I just lost my Yorkie yesterday He was 2 years old he was most adorable and playful. everyone in my apartment loved him. we were attacked by a pitbull while we were going for our regular walk around the park in front of the apartment 😭😭

Oh man I'm so sorry to hear, pitbulls should be outlawed imo. So horrible. I made a short on this and left a comment replying to someone else with a webpage showing statistics how pitbulls and "bully breeds" a.k.a pitbulls literally make up for the *vast majority* of fatal bites on Humans! They're horrible and so done with hearing normies say "it's not the dog it's the owner" nooo...these creatures are so violent they were bred for fighting, red flags, and they have a near-locking jaw.

Probably my favorite video of yours. My sister got a tea pot Yorky, when she was 12. Paid for him with her own babysitting money. He was bigger than both his parents when he was a puppy! Despite being purebred, the owner sold him at a discount because he was so big. he got to be 14 pounds and he was all legs. Could never keep any meat on those bones because he would always run it off. I miss you, Charlie.
