Yooka-Laylee is Annoying and Disappointing! (My First Hour on PS5)

I love platformers, and I was so excited to finally try this game when it was on sale. 10 min into the game I was already annoyed by the repetitive gibberish voice acting that I had to turn off speech (Croc 2 did this but it wasnt this annoying).. Then putting massive worlds (which I have no compaints because they look nice) and then having many tasks where you have no real end goal and no idea where you're going and how to complete the tasks as some areas are not even accessible or what certain stuff looks like. This game drove me crazy in less than an hour and Im disappointed, because I really wanted to love this game. Whats your opinion on it?

I feel you man. I realy liked Banjo Kazooie and Tooie is one of my favorite games of all time and for me the best Rarer game with Star Fox Adventure. So i was really excited to play this, but after 3 Worlds an in between I was so bored out of that game, I did not liked the passing, the mission and the level designe of that game that I quit it very early.

I have heard better things about TIL. I shouldve bought that instead. Maybe I’ll try it someday
I am getting dizzy playing this on the ps5, geez
I thought it was good, not great, but good. Entertaining for me, annoying at a few spots. Impossible Lair was better.

Its good that you enjoyed it! I wanted to like it a lot especially since Ive waited a long time to play it. It was super confusing at all times and the voices really bothered me. Ive heard better things about The Impossible Lair. Have yet to try that one.
The game isn’t very good for ps5 cause it’s not a ps5 game, it’s made for PS4.

The game runs well on ps5, very well. Its just the game that's disappointing

@@DaxterMaster I see where your coming from. I think it’s that the game is trying to be an old school platformer but it’s on new hardware.

@@Dantevious09 Yes and I love old platformers and thats why I wanted to play this. The game looks beautiful but the execution when it comes to gameplay and cutscenes thats where it fails in my opinion. From the annoying voices, to giving you tasks without telling you what to do. That you need a skill without telling you that you need to buy the skill or you wont be able to complete the mission. Theres where it becomes messy.

@@DaxterMaster yeah. I would say to get psyconauts 2 I’ve heard a lot of really good things about it or the sequel to Yooka laylee
