    Hey, great video! If I do end up going to Yonsei, I’m for sure doing a single room. The doubles are tiny and too claustrophobic. That being said: how did you feel in terms of making friends? I’ve heard being a foreigner can be a bit difficult, considering Koreans don’t take too well to them (or so I’ve heard). Would love your feedback!

  • @rachelhwang6924

    @rachelhwang6924

    3 жыл бұрын

    I was worried about that too but didn’t have any issues with it. One of my closest friends was someone I met when getting tested for COVID lol. We Kakao talked and on the first day out of quarantine I already had a small group to hang out with. You can meet people in the elevators, common rooms, or zoom class too. In my experience if I met one person they would introduce me to a few more and asking people for their KakaoTalks or Instas makes it easier to connect :)

    @@Bunniesi That process was pretty complicated. I actually have a dual citizenship so I could quarantine in my dorm room. My friend who has a long term visa was also able to quarantine in the dorms. But, my other friend hadn’t gotten her visa yet so she went to the government facility. I arranged with Yonsei to quarantine in my dorm but there is also an option to quarantine elsewhere as long as you aren’t with non family members. I don’t regret choosing to quarantine in my dorm especially since you can order food and I have dietary restrictions. Hope this helps :)

Or do you have to stay at a government facility once you first come? Because I seen a lot of people talking about staying in the dorm instead but I didn’t know if that was an option or not. Sorry for all the questions lol, I matriculate in September for the fall semester and I’m nervous.

If you eat out they take your temp and have you write your name and phone number on a sign in sheet. Norebangs also recently opened up. I feel like I’m always doing something here. It’s great!

    The KLI is for anyone wanting to study Korean they don’t check grades for that. I emailed them a question regarding my grades and they said a B average was good (this was when I was questioning about actually attending as international student.) also they reply fast. I think my email was overlooked because it was English and because of time zone. Some A day later I emailed a follow up during their business hours and they replied within a few hours. If you have questions I suggest contacting admissions. And include them all in one email so they can address all your concerns. I even sent screenshots just to be sure they understood my situation
