Loving this Yongnuo YN 216. Btw. I found out that the barn door setup comes off rather easy. Look at the barn doors and the ring that holds them on, there will be arrows, just rotate and the barn doors come off!

You do realize that a slight twist of the barndoor ring will remove it from the light right? Much easier to paint

Why is thelight set to blue too pale? Can it get darker?

I just purchase 2 of these lights and i'm looking for a carrying case for them, any suggestions?

I personally don't have any suggestions. A regular camera case or throwing them in a bag should be fine tbh. They are cheap enough that I would comfortably just throw them in a bag and I do.

How did the barn doors work once painted?

Frankie Grundler they worked well. It doesn’t reflect light anymore. Someone mentioned I could have just covered it with gaff tape. I never thought of the idea, it’s quicker and reversible. I have so much gaff tape laying around too. But painting it worked! It made no sense to reflect light the other way when using the barn doors.

Couldn't you just unscrew the doors and flip them so the black side is pointing in ? Just a thought.

Yeahhhhh...someone else mentioned that and when I read it, I was like, shit, why didn't I think of that. Obviously, I'm not a seasoned gaffer or grip lolll.
