It's been six whole days, since the last 2cent review Instead of fast food, they tried a product that's new The Yonanas machine, makes a creamy dessert But watch out for the blades, or you just might get hurt You have to push the fruit hard, down the long filling tube It would have helped very well, to have some yonana lube I'm with Robyn on this, too much work that it took But Cathy sure liked, the included recipe book At 32 bucks, with twenty percent off the price As a wedding or shower gift, I guess it'd be nice If I woke up one day, as a woman no doubt I would run to a mirror, to check myself out. I'd hope for an ample bosom that day But knowing my luck, I'd probably be double-A

Don, That my friend made me lol!!!! Ladies Great review. Good item like Kathy said to get the kiddos eating healthier & to actually KNOW what is IN your creamy dessert. But I can see Robyn’s point as well . Plus looks like it’s hard to push down unless you’re tall like Robyn. Thanks! Please give an update if you try anymore recipes. ~ Anita

Hi ladies. I LOVE my yonanas! But you can’t do what the recipe says... you HAVE to dice the banana into about quarter to half inch sized slices (doesn’t have to be perfect), then freeze them that way, or pro tip** just buy a bag of frozen banana slices/ diced fruit so the works done for you. That solves Robyn’s concern, frozen bag of pre cut fruit (for the price of a carton of ice cream), then thaw 15 mins, then just dump in ready to go. It takes literally two mins to make when the fruits thawed enough and you have fresh, healthy frozen yogurt ready to go. No Prep that way. Also, when making, add only TWO small slices of banana then a whole berry or whatever you’re adding in so its flavors distributed more evenly. If you do a half’s banana, it’s just a giant clump of banana, then clump of strawberry. Also while processing, if there’s anything you’re adding in that shows up in the bowl as ice shavings, it’s too frozen, let thaw another 5 mins. Every freezer is different, but I usually wait 15 mins. The fruit you were using was still about 3-5 mins too frozen, wait till it’s easier to push through the shoot, don’t be scared by the mooshy warning. I disagree that you could do this with a blender or food processor, then freeze... because then you’d lose the creamy ice cream texture....I love you’re channel and watch faithfully! Congrats on success! Love both your personalities! Thanks

I bought my mother one and she loves it. I have one, too. You just have to make sure your fruit isn't too frozen, you shouldn't have to push hard and you can add whatever you want. Once you use it a few times, it becomes really easy.

Thank you for trying out this machine, I saw it a few years ago I was wondering how it worked, very interesting kind of like the idea but then I thought about it ,as Robyn said the cons outweigh the pros, so I'm going to save my money, crossy kind of look like a pain in the neck that you had to keep on trying to clean it out, and you do have to take it apart to even get the food out of it cuz you lose a lot of food in it.

    1. NO, you cannot do the same thing with a food processor, Nutri-bullet, blender, etc. Those things CHOP. Yonanas GRINDS and produces a soft ice cream consistency when you use bananas or baked yams. 2. You don't keep turning it on and off. Turn it on. Add banana, other fruit, more banana. 3. MIX IT WELL in the bowl. Don't whine it's too tart if you don't mix it and then choose a tart ingredient to taste. I stick to bananas and berries and find the results plenty sweet. Thanks to Yonanas, I get 3- 4 delicious servings of fruit in one bowl and have totally given up ice cream.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing myself when they kept turning the machine off and were still confused why there was so much fruit still left behind in the hopper. I bought it as a gift for a friend and wanted to see it in action first to make sure this would be a good gift. This video doesn't do the product any favors when you don't use it correctly so I watched another one that was so much better.

As I told Cathy I did own one and I loved it, BUT.... The fruit has to be the right temperature otherwise it's a headache. A simple fix would be a small heating element and your fruit would pass when it was soft enough. It's meant for healthy snacks NOT COOKIES Cathy! I now blend fruit put them in a Popsicle mold and freeze. It's a lot easier.

I like mine! However, I hate frozen bananas, love raw bananas though. You don't get the same texture with a food processor. I find the key is to use fruits with lower water content as the base (likely why the orange wasn't very good). I really like cherry lime or mango pineapple. It's also really great with alcohol ;)

It looks pretty good for people wanting to control weight - not as much sugar as ice cream/gelato, & more nutritional than juices, & getting all that fibre along with it to help feel fuller longer. It's just a shame so much gets left in the machine. Personally I'd want to try very ripe red capsicum/bell pepper, strawberries, & raspberries or blackberries, with a couple jalapenos in it - a sweet & spicy monstrosity :D Or Oreos, banana & Tabasco - chili chocolate! Peeing standing up would definitely be #1 - I've used those disposable p-mates/she-pees before, & they are very awesome in a pinch when you're desperately far from a bathroom (especially if you've bad knees). They make road trips so much better, when you're stuck with only a servo/truck stop bathroom that you don't want to sit on. Those paper seat covers aren't common in Oz - I remember being 7yrs old & my mother teaching me to create almost elaborate shielding with toilet paper in order to use public toilets - p-mate's are much faster, simpler & more novel :P

The bananas actually should have been a little softer before you froze them. I find its better when the bananas have more brown than these did.

Personally, I'm not impressed. The price is right but the damn thing looked like it would come apart when you pressed on it. I would suggest cutting the bananas in small slices and mixing with the other fruit so you don't get parts that are just bananas. Also, a bit of orange peel (shredded) would prolly be awesome. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I'm a guy by the way.

Looks like too much work , besides that , the term "healthy Desert" makes me nervous. Look on youtube for "I still write my name in the snow" by Chet Atkins. I woke up a male, again and after doing the same thing for 70 yrs. I'm glad to stand up , period. Love your video , as always

Humm! I was thinking along the lines of using this machine for the bananas and strawberries, and also getting an ice cream maker, making strawberries ice cream or banana ice cream. On the other hand why not a blender. The idea is to do something, and ditch the white sugar which is very bad for our health.

The fruit has to be a little thawed. In the YoZone 7-10 minutes of thawing

try taking a banana and rolling it in chocolate chips before freezing it and then putting the chocolate chip-covered frozen banana through the machine because that's what I do also "I don't care for frozen peach in it because the water content in the meat of a peach fruit is too high I feel as if there's more peach juice in a peach then there is peach meat in a peach so fruit that's really juicy I don't care to put it in the machine" however you could try chopping fruit that's juicy like peaches and you could dice them into small bits and freeze them and then add the tiny chunks into the bowl of frozen fruit that's already gone through the machine and just fold in the frozen diced fruit into the creamed banana or whatever... I also love doing mangoes and pineapple and NY other fruit that's really thick and meaty in its flesh... one recipe I love is mango and fresh mint leaves that one is good too and the last but biggest tip is "DON'T BUY FROZEN FRUIT!" lol... buy fresh fruit and slice it and freeze it yourself I know I know I know its more work however pre-diced frozen or just pre-frozen fruit is so unripe ... it's almost bitter so the quality of fruit makes all the difference and pre-frozen fruit is so unripe and sour and bitter also I hate fruit from "Walmart" I'm sorry to say this but I'm not sorry either... Their fruit while fresh is also unripe and their mangoes pineapples strawberry's and so on are so unripe it's almost unbearable so just shop around and once in a while if you can find a store that sells good quality fruit yes it will be more expensive but it's well worth it! even if you have it only sometimes as a treat if it cost too much it's still worth it as a once-in-a-while treat .... yes it's that yummy! also drizzled peanut butter or any nut butter is amazing too especially while the nut butter is hot and easy to drizzle

I think You are supposed to frozen fruit sit for 6-7 min. Then put in machine. :)

Yonanas is not for me. I make similar fresh fruit smoothie-like iced deserts though use my Blendtec blender. I control ingredients to keep it healthy. For me, the blender is a better tool because it multi-tasks is easier to use and clean. I make hot soups and beverages as well as frozen desserts. Now, if I was a guy....let me think. Guess I'd shave my face and not legs and underarms! LOL...Guess some guys shave their chests, I wouldn't. Thanks for a great review as always!

Fruits too frozen! Break bananas into 4 pieces then freeze them. Thaw all fruits 7-10 mins before adding to machine. Then add fruits alternately starting with banana & leave the machine on as you add the fruits. When cleaning use a spatula to eat every bit before washing.
