Just a quick correction 1. I think the first snack you ate is not Lemper, but it's a Arem Arem, it's a compressed rice (sometimes mixed with coconut milk) with various fillings (chicken, veggies, beef) wrapped in banana leaves and then steamed. Whilst Lemper is, sticky rice cooked with coconut milk and spices and filled with chicken or beef or chicken,beef floss. 2. The second snack you ate is not Risoles, but it's Kroket, a snack originally from your country. In Indonesia Kroket usually made from mashed boiled potatoes mixed with flour and butter dough, filled with various kind of fillings, chicken, beef, veggies, mixed with kind of style, like chicken/beef curry, chicken mushroom or sapi kecap manis. You can find good snacks online or some established bakeries like Monami bakery, this one has good snacks and sweet Asian bread styles, but good food comes with good price. Recommend: Visit the 1. Raminten restaurant, a unique restaurant 2. Benteng Vredeburg, a historical place from the Dutch colonial 3. Affandi museum, Affandi is Indonesian Maestro of art and paintings 4. Yes. So it wasn't old but it was arem arem and it's different from lemper. It's normal if it was not sticky but mushy.

The most interesting thing about "masangin" is you have to walk from the front of south hall (Siti Hinggil building in front of south square) with your eyes closed, preferably blindfolded with a fabric. Many people prefer to try it at night because the air is cooler and its also the moment where the south square came into life 😅 Edit: oh, that tuk-tuk is called Becak Motor if they attach the motorcycle on it but if its not then its just Becak

there is one thing they haven't told you, that the water park was also used by the Sultan or King of Jogja to bathe with his girls (concubines), then the sultan up to the tower on the 3rd floor, there is a room with windows facing the pool and from there the sultan would choose one concubine for dating upstairs, did you see the bedroom in the 3rd floor near the pool?

Beautiful place.! Those trees you walked between to fulfill your desires are not banyan trees..but peepal trees. Banyan trees are the ones with roots hanging from branches. Indonesia has full of historical sites and all communities live cordially. And Bali is of course everybody's favorite.!

20:34 That's not lemper. That's called arem-arem. The difference is on the rice used. The lemper uses sticky rice, while arem-arem uses lontong or steamed white rice. The making process is also different.

Try explore on Gunung Kidul thats still Jogjakarta region, so many beautiful beaches, line of beautiful beaches. And continue to 'Dieng Pleateau' in central Java, so many temples, lakes and etc. Normally travel agency have this route. Dieng known as 'negri diatas awan' or heaven in the sky, cause this paradise is higher than anything region on Indonesia. So enjoy susan and janine. Have a great adventure 😊

What you ate wasn't lemper but arem-arem, similar to lemper but made from rice filled with potato, herbs and chilli. While lemper made from gluten rice with chicken only.
