This 30-minute practice focuses on relieving tension in the upper body.The neck, shoulders and upper back tend to be places in the physical body where we hold onto a lot of stress. The stretches in this yoga sequence will help you feel more ease and spaciousness in your body and mind. It is a fully accessible practice, suitable for absolute beginners, right through to the advanced practitioner.
No props are needed for this class.

    Sometimes I wonder if a 30-minute stretch is really worth it, but when I follow along, I realise that the entirety of the video and the long holds of all the stretches is exactly what works magic. Thank you so much! I was very sore from lifting weights yesterday and this video worked like a miracle. My body feels AMAZING! Thanks again :)

    I've been away from yoga for about 15 years so wanted something gentle to bring me back. I found it! Slow, deep, conscious. And the very quiet music in the background is lovely. Enjoy many different videos with you as my body readjusts.

    Thank you for this! Being disabled-I had my leg amputated three years ago-and having to move differently than I used to, using different muscles to move, my back and shoulders are always tight and painful. After following you through this practice for the first time, my back already feels looser and less painful.

    I’ve tried this practice a few times to relieve tension headaches and it works every time.     I started a yoga sculpt class this evening via Zoom and my wrists immediately started hurting. I left the class and decided to focus my energy on stretching instead.     What a beautiful flow. I loved the last stretch so much, I am naturally flexible and could perform it with binding my hands behind and one feet on the mat/.     i had really bad neck and shoulder pain and could barely function but doing this practice a few times a few has really help decrease the pain and I can go back to doing the things I love!     I always feel a lot of tension in the area around my heart and it transforms into anxiety and overthinking. This class really helps me soften that tension and creates a feeling of peace. It makes me feel space in my body and space between my centered, relaxed self and my emotions. Thank you

    Hi Jessica! I've been doing this video for around 2+ weeks now.. 2 weeks ago my neck down to my lower back was soooo stiff my head could barely face all directions. It was hard to move and to sleep on certain positions. After a massage on Sunday 2 weeks ago, and doing this yoga for the whole week until today... my neck and back are not bothering me anymore 💛💛 it's completely fine! 🤗 Thanks to you 💛

    I tried one of your restorative practices and I do it after my walk in the morning - I have a lot going on health wise and I love that my body isn’t exhausted when I’m finished or doing postures I can’t really do yet - I also love that you tell us how we can modify our posture if we do want more of a stretch. I’m super excited for this upper body because that is my trouble area - I can barely raise my arms above my head because I have a ton of holding in my shoulders...thank you for this!!! I will be adding this video to my day! Also your voice is really nice...not too chipper, not too breathy, not over annunciated...just right!!!

    I've done now this daily stretching session for the 6th time, and I can feel such a tremendous difference! Before I started, I had some neck pane due to prolonged sitting in front of the computer for my work. And this resulted in very tense upper back and shoulders. But I can see the great positive effects of this stretching class! Thank you so much!!!

    This is exactly what I needed! Every once in a while I will sleep wrong and cause major rhomboid pain. It’s the WORST. I’ve tried many videos and they do okay but this one REALLY focuses on the upper back and neck and gave me time to sit in the poses with no rushing. Bless you for this Jessica 🙌🏽🫶🏽🙌🏽🫶🏽

    Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I had stiff neck&shoulder, back pain and after few classes with you and slowing down in my daily routine all pain gone. Usually I needed chiropractic to help me to get on my feet. I love all your videos and love get on mat with you, very interesting sequences and I love your balmy and calm voice🙂 namaste
