Dean, I am 61 and recently retired. I am still busy, but have more time to focus on myself and your videos are a perfect fit for me. The 10-20 minute videos leave me with no excuse not to do at least five days a week. They are energizing and a great complement to other activities like walking, biking, golf, etc. Glad I found your KZread channel!

Really really goood

I’ve really been enjoying this program. Great start to the day & pre meditation. Although I do often find myself sweating and asking “this is for beginners!?” Thanks Dean! Oh also, I’m an LMT & runner & had no idea the fascia in my soles were so tight, so thanks for the reminder!

Great stuff Dean. Have tried yoga a few times as I need to work on my flexibility, but it was all too "fluffy" for me. This really hits the sweet spot for men and athletes. Hope you keep it at. Think I'm finally in :)

That's my problem too. I try to move the foot that's in front more towards my hip to weaken the pose. But its still difficult

ive done this a few times now. straight up beginner. ill keep at it. alternative to that pigeon? i cant get that leg under anywhere near close what your doing. I'm a 50+ with poor flexibility so that one doesn't seem realistic doesn't feel like I'm ending on a positive. cheers

You can do a reclined figure 4 instead, which has the same target areas. But also, a huge chunk of our members are in their 50s and 60s, so you're not on the younger side.

Hi guys! When doing the side stretch when I release to come back to standing straight the opposite side gets a pain. Am I bending too far or coming back too slow or fast? Enjoying my 3rd month of yoga and my healthy future!✌️

You're probably just doing something you haven't done much of before. Discomfort is ok but pain is always bad, so if something hurts stop. Be sure to engage your core and go slow. Keep up the good work!

These exercises weren’t to bad but that one me trying to balance on my leg dean. I’m trying really i’am. I’m just here having alitte trouble with my balance. Do you have any ideas?

Hi Dean, I realized in pigeon position - my left side is more painful. It feels tighter and I hardly can get the hip touching the ground. What dies it means?

You probably need to work on your flexibility on that side, inconsistencies are normal. Discomfort is ok but pain is never good, so stop if something hurts. Don't force your hip and sit on a block if necessary, you'll get there eventually but you have to be consistent.
Hey, I really liked this workout even though I would say I’m more intermediate than beginner. The workout was great until the pigeon at the end, cause ai cannot even get close to that pose. My front leg just won’t bend that way. I was surprised to find that in a beginner yoga routine with no variations. It did not make me feel good about myself, especially that I’ve never had this kind of problem in any of your other videos, which I have been enjoying in the past couple months.

Glad you enjoyed the video, for the most part. For pigeon, don't push yourself if you feel any kind of pain. The variation would be to pull your front foot closer to your body, reducing the angle of the knee. Sometimes sitting on a block or rolled towel can be helpful as well.
