Mumenrider is one of the most respectable anime characters to me. He dives head first into the worst situations, he even knows he won’t make a difference but yet he still is there! He still try’s. Most shonen (fighting animes)focus on the progression and evolving of the main character, Saitama can defeat everything with one punch (there fore one punch man) but in exchange we see him evolving and growing in others ways soon you guys will realize that, instead of struggling and suffering to achieve victory and strength, one punch man shows alot of comedy and personal growing to achieve hapiness and friendship, its super awesome

Muzan just seems like an Anime version of Alex Mercer from the Prototype types with his biokinesis though Mercer can roam in the sunlight and is much more op then muzan. Both wouldn't be able to handle Saitama though..

The most unqiue thing about one punch man compared to all anime is that they give all the side characters time to shine and show their potential because the protagonist is only there to be the plot ender 😂

He beats every character because he is satire. His story literally is what happens after these typical Shonen MCs get all the power-ups and become the strongest in their worlds. The author basically is taking the opportunity to comment on what happens after the MC becomes the strongest but there is still plot left. Don't think too hard. He beats them all. Simple as.

@@imkaneforever i think thats because of the animation change honestly, the visuals were quite disappointing compared to the hand drawn fight scenes in season one. They never should have switched studios. I think the plot just starts to get more interesting as it progresses and starts to become more of a story imo. I’m just excited to see the monster association arc animated cause that should be fire if they do it right

Btw for those who don't know, One Punch Man is by itself a pun because it sounds like Anpanman, a character from children books and cartoon that has his head made of bread, and his attacks are "one punch" and "one kick". As you can see Saitama isn't exactly a riff on anime protagonists but on the power creep a lot of those shows get caught up in. All those characters you mentioned grow throughout their stories by huge leaps and bounds. If they were to go back to the beginning after achieving their full potential you basically have what Saitama is.

May favorite part of watching OPM reactions is how long it takes to make the connection between Saitama and his changing art style.

Mumen Rider's a friggin legend in this show. Despite having no powers and being COMPLETELY average, he still stands up to clearly unbeatable odds because he so strongly believes in JUSTICE. That's why everyone respects and adores him so much, because he's about as selfless as it gets, despite not being "special" like the others. It's interesting to compare him to Saitama who doesn't fight for justice, but is instead a hero for fun. He has all this power, but is he a real hero? We'll have to see. A lot of the side characters are designed to be foils around the main character, so it's really neat seeing how they all interact x) Glad you guys are enjoying this show, it's genuinely one of the best ever made, and that's coming from someone who generally doesn't like anime.

The best way ive heard saitama described is he's starting his anime but with end of multiple series powers. Characters like Goku,deku and tanjiro there story is about overcoming evil and getting stronger over time. Without spoiling things saitama is strong just because. And his story is what does a hero do with limitless power and no goals to achieve

One Punch Man is like a Parody to the mainstream Anime Protagonist. He is the exact opposite of the main characters that starts so weak, keeps on training and eventually gets strong. Saitama will just literally one punch anything and that is the joke. What makes this anime so good are the side characters revolving Saitama and the goofy events that happen. The fight scenes from the latest manga releases are on a different level though. It's GODLY good.
