GE: OH GOS WE GOT TO MAKE ELDAR STUFF AHHHHH!!! Eldar, tyranids, and Tau (dark eldar orcs and crons got stuff): finally give us new models (especially nids) and let us kill a chaos god. Literally GW if you let them kill Slaanesh you can weaken chaos and let the imperium fight other people. Maybe have her death collapse the great rift and reset the eye back to cadia.

I had thought the story was gonna expand, and that Guiliman would of went into Slaanesh’s palace to get the last sword for them. (Yvraine did do him a favor of going into nurgle’s garden, an gave him the artifact for free with no eldar bs or sass) And we could finally get a moment with the Imperium willing helping a Xenos race. Then who would Guiliman find in the palace? Fulgrim with a brand new set of chaos emperor’s children models. Fulgrim being the reason Guiliman was laid low so long ago, would of made an interesting confrontation. But instead trash that whole story line, I bet GW will end of having Guiliman kill an Avatar of Khaine with the emperor’s sword and kill it forever and then add Yvraine to the space marine line as Guiliman’s pet.

Nah, they just decided they can't be bothered and dropped the story to go make more about primarines. "Why is the faction that we gave next to no importance in the recent lore and used as a punching bag, which has virtually no new models except for a brutally overpriced and nearly pointless assault unit that sucks at killing stuff, not sell?" They hotshotted the Ynnari release back in 7th and gave it next to no support in models, because they flipped the focus back on Primaris and DG, then the last Psychic Awakening book was basically Vect dabbing on them all book long. I'm sure they sold a lot of Vect models with it.

You know, if they wanted to recover the sword from Slaanesh´s palace they probably could just ask the Blood Ravens, if they dont have it already I´m sure they would like the challenge.

Yvrainne has a pretty dress. No joke, I really like it. Really though, I agree. The Eldar really need more involvement in the whole series of events that have and will transpire. Sure, one-man strike squads that are the Astartes are awesome, but some people prefer the more agile and nimble approach. Not to mention Eldar are all innately psychic, and have more exotic tech than full-auto mini rocket launchers.

Yeah, it's pretty sad how they keep Eldar and Dark Eldar kinda... irrelevant. Everyone else has some doomsday fuckhuge army/fleet/powers to advance towards their goal while Eldar of all kind are just... there, whittling away and awaiting their inevitable end. They are even worse than chaos space marines, which at this point are pretty comical to me (getting rekt by broken Imperium besieged on all sides).

That last bit you said about having Ynead be awakened and then the coming conflict with slannesh sounds interesting. Just imagine like after he awakens, slannesh sends out a massive demon army to smash him and the eldar create a massive army in response. After that its like a cat and mouse game where both armies, both powerful enough to level star systems, both massive, both with very powerful beings, are terrified to actually confront eachother as they know it’ll be a meatgrinder, so then just dance around eachother, searching for little things that can tip the balance until finally meeting eachother in battle. That would be dope.

@@matiascabrera2557 You answered that yourself :) - their models are very old, they have multiple 2E and 3E units. They also have had something like 20 models, mostly updates, for the last 15 years. I got into the hobby in the mid-2000s, around the time 5E hit. Since that time, they have had fewer updates than nearly all factions. Right now, they are the only faction with resin troop units. For comparison, the Necron update of late 5E - you know, the one that preceded the current upgrade - had about the same number of new models and more new units than all the update craftworld Eldar got for the last four editions.

Reject Primaris (unless you’re a brand new player who wants to learn the game, because they’re just objectively good at that) EMBRACE BIG TIDDY ELDAR GF

Later forge world/newer dex had to fix it so oldcrons could exist side by side with the newcrons.

And the only way to banish him is to have several Eldar Titans plus some of the Phoenix Lords fight him Fulgrim is not the only Daemon Primarch Slaanesh can summon. Perturabo and Lorgar would both fight along with their Legions. Abaddon and his Black Legion Countless Daemon Princes of Slaanesh and Undivided would also fight Slaanesh can revive and enhance Konrad and Omegon to fight for her cause (their souls still exist unlike Horus) While Yncarne/Ynnead can revive a few dozen Eldar at a time. Slaanesh can revive and enhance her forces several times over in the battle The Dark Mechanicum, Lost and the Damned, Chaos Cultists, Traitor Knights and Traitor Titans will also fight for Slaanesh Ahriman and his warband will fight too to settle their grudge. The Sons of Malice would also fight. Heck, Malice himself would be summoned Worst case scenario Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle would also commit their forces

It would be awesome that, since they helped the imperium revive Guilliman, they can give them help to get the final sword with maybe Caldor Draigo or smthn

I have to agree that one of the Eldar's biggest draw weaknesses has been that their species has been one where being described as a species that has accepted extinction as inevitable makes them highly unappealing. Meanwhile the Dark Eldar are worlds more messed up than their fantasy counterpart which makes them too over the top for many and has an issue of feeling more like their scared into a cycle of submission to the acts that brought the thing their scared of to be.

People at the top who have no concept of how it works at the bottom make really stupid decisions that make it even harder for people at the bottom, resulting in losses of efficiency and therefore reducing overall productivity. Retail especially suffers from this.

This video inspired me to buy the Ynnari books to show support... just more on my eBook backlog

I can't wait to see how Bruva Alfabusa handles the Ynnari and Ynnead arc in the next TTS episode. He would do it justice far better than GW ever did

Well considering that Cegorach and the emperor are seemingly coresponding with each other so they can synchronise event to the best outcome, the ynead ritual site has Magnus and a custodes so the can call off the deathwatch kill team if the appear,in commoragh we have leman squaring off against Yvraine and Lelith Hesperex with the star child emperor present nearby and Jagatai also set to show up within the next episode, Gulliman is definitely coming back the emperor isn’t a apathetic sociopath so Gulliman won’t be so bitter

Aww, ressurecting Guilliman so that Ynnari can team up with Ultrasmurfs to get that sword and have a Guilliman vs Fulgrim rematch would be amazing. So GW definintely won't do it.

The Ynnari were a plot divice for the Primaris, on tabletop they were absurdly op that they got nerfed to 7ed and were never seen again, just like in the lore.

I mean, considering how they sold Alaitoc -- one of the major eldar factions - in Path of the Warrior, I think it's fair to say there aren't many Eldar fans at GW. Spoiler: A major craftworld gets invaded by a part of a single Chapter and the resources mustered by a ... I think sector governor. And they barely pull through, by getting the astartes to understand it was an accident. This is a major craftworld, the "Raven guard" faction of the eldar so to speak. It had not been weakened by a previous invasion or something. This is a craftworld that easily fields titans (see Doom of Mymeara), has a sizable spacefleet with connections to corsairs it can ask for help in an emergency, and - via the farseers - should be able to see major threats in an advance. They are bolstered by three phoenix lords - basically the living saints of Khaine. The invasion of, if I remember correctly, elements of single SM chapter and "some" imperial guard and navy not only manages to breach the defenses of one of the biggest Eldar craftworlds, but they have to ask them to stop. This, I remind you, is an ELDAR-FOCUSED book. Oh, and GW still can't bother selling the Ynnari separately, like they do for virtually all bundles in up to a year. IT's been over five years but if you want one of them, you need to get all of them.

@@enovos3138 Kinda, but she lead after he died, the biggest part being where she led a massive invasion of the Pearl River Delta, and killed at least 10,000 people, it only took until the regional commander started calling the Portuguese to send support did she eventually stop, but not before going on a year long raid after said commander refused to accept her demands during the peace treaty, she almost did again during the second deal.

As a Slaanesh player with both EC and deamons this situation makes me pissed FOR the Eldar players and my own DG lore! This is a slap in the face for both of us and I wish that they would actually have fought the FULL greater deamon and gotten their shit kicked. Solution to the outcome would be someone like a solitaire getting clapped back (corruption or poison that messes with the laughing prick.) and or another sword stolen to keep the story hype.

The Ynnari books getting cancelled was a major shame

I read the "Path of the Eldar" trilogy. An omnibus of all 3 books released in 2014. Each book focuses on a different Eldar taking on a different warrior aspect (striking scorpion, warlock, and ranger). They were written by Gav Thorpe; and the book about the ranger has him going on adventures with a dark eldar pirate waifu and shagging her.

I'm gutted they seem to be trying to kill this plot line. Space is awesome. Elves are awesome. Therefore, Space Elves are... full of potential.

I kinda hoped the emperors sword would be used as a replacement for the 5th crone sword. With Ynnead reviving Guilliman it would be like the second act binding the imperium and the elder in an alliance against Slaanesh and then chaos as a whole.

Ahahahaaaa Space elves..... and tomorrow you tell me, that there is a planet in the Imperium populated by Catpeople aaaaahhhh..... oh.

It doesn't help that in 9th edition they shit-stomped Ynnari's competitive edge. I'll admit in 8th they were WAY too strong, but I almost made a Ynnari army until I found out how dirty they got done.

Competitiveness comes and goes, but the lore and models were imo a bigger problem. People were still using Ynnari as a supreme command detachment for a craftworld list. However, GW made no other Ynnari models, isn't even selling the trio separately, and eventually turned them into a joke in the fluff.

I am a big Eldar fan as well. And have recently gotten into reading the novels. I have read a number of Imperial and Chaos focused books. When I went to see if there were any Eldar novels on audible I found that there way hardly anything to be found. There was even a two part series in which the first book had been removed. So yeah it sux for me as someone who has only recently gotten into reading the novels that GW is done with Eldar novels.

I mean, they were still doing it to other marines, but every now and then the Guard would get a call-out. Poor IG, they are basically an honorary xenos faction.

Dude the visarch has so much potential

The factions that don't have many named characters are just forgotten about. For example: Thousand Sons. TWO NAMED CHARACTERS!!!! Magnus and Ahriman, and three units; Exalted Sorcerers, Rubrics, and Scarabs. The Thousand Sons are very interesting and the lore behind them is amazing. Give us more! Dammit GW.

I bought the triumvirate minis and got really into the ynnari recently. Painting yvraine right now, I agree with you 100% about GW

Kind of fucked that the faction with some of the best artwork has such poor looking models.

I'll have you know the Falcon looked pretty damn good in 1997 when it came out! It's still not bad, for its age. Then again, most Eldar aspects, vehicle hulls etc are from 4th edition or before.

All I knew of Yvraine before this was all the memes. This is way more interesting than half the space marines stories I hears of!

My favorite thing about the eldar is how the dark eldar and craft worlders seem to keep an open line of communication

Honestly, the best part of this video is hearing Majorkill try to pronounce "hedonistic".

This is amazing! I’m new to drukhari and literally did not give a single shit about elder until recently when I started buying up drukhari. Even then I didn’t care about the background of the rest of the elves. I tried to listen to other lord videos but apparently the thing that was missing was someone who was actually enthusiastic about the lore to explain it.

They could use Guilliman and the ultra marines to yoink the sword while leading a frontal assault on the palace Gives some potential rematch vibes between Guilliman and Demongrim (low key think he's still possessed and just lied about totally being fulgrim having flipped a switch overnight) and exploits the fact that Slanesh is so obsessed with taking the Eldar that she wouldn't notice a bunch of Dirty Monkeigh yoinking the objective if she was preoccupied trying to feast. Plus it allows the ultramarines to look like badasses for making a clutch play while hinging it on it not in any way being about them and that in of itself being essential to why they're able to win, victory by insignificance to the other involved parties!

I think the Ynarri could use the Tau to Rob the chrome sword from slaanesh as they have dim souls and might not be detected by the daemons in Slaanesh's realm. Perhaps the Ynarri could give some sort of technology to the Tau like access to the webway or something. And if they team up with the farsight enclaves this might give them more of an advantage over the Ethereal lead Tau, changing the power dynamic of the Tau.

Here is a fun plot twist that could be fun to play with. They Ynnari are able to sneak into Slaneesh's palace to steal the sword, but quick question. How do they know its there? Some greater chaos demon said it was? It is entirely possible that the demon lied. Slaneesh now knows the Ynnari plan and so is looking for either the last sword, or a way to break the swords that have been found.

Yeah I agree. Gw seriously needs to invest in all of their factions more. Especially those that haven't had the love they deserve.

So....Yvraine is basically what Daenerys is to the Eldar, if the writers had a clue on what they wanted out of their characters

Slanesh simply lied, she is not more powerfull but less and the demon was one her last gambles to prevent the Ynnari completing her quest. The sword is not in her garden, it is just a ploy, she might know where it is but the location is inaccessible to her ( like Emps Palace, Pariah Nexus, a working blackstonestone fortress etc ). Wouldn't that be cool, the last eldar, a death cult, searching the galaxy for a sword in a functioning blackstone fortress.
