Other actors from shows like that or careers have turned out quite well, I think. There's Josh Peck from Drake and Josh, who appeared in Oppenheimer. I remember he was in a movie called the Whackness with Method Man. Was pretty good! So yeah it happens but almost rarely it seems.

Dev Patel was in (the oscar winning) Slumdog Millionaire before Last Airbender, and the kid that played Aang was someone that Shyamalan wasn't even an actor. Dev Patel's career isn't even comparable to his costars.

Please go watch it to show support. There were only 5 of us in the cinema. Its definitely a solid action film. And the music/score made me smile and cackle most times
