I defend remixing songs for trailers, it's just like anything else. It has to be done right. The Fallout trailer's music wasn't awful, they took an old song and changed it up. But this trailer is f@cking awful. Change the song, remix it to fit the tone you want, but I don't even know what the tone is supposed to be here. It didn't help that I didn't laugh at a single joke, the writing sounds so bland, unoriginal, and cringe. It's hard to believe they made this for adults and I'd still shit on it if they made it for kids.

I did some reading. The movie is an adaptation of the 1980s TV show, The Fall Guy. With that said, that explains why Ryan Gosling is reduced to being a generic action man. It's made to appeal to male boomers who grew up with those action movies from the same era. It doesn't help that they included a painful remix of Shot through the heart by Bon Jovi, meaning they're trying to milk the 80s one last time. This is basically a generic action movie slapped with an existing IP so it can justify its existence.

@@Leon-zu1wp Then Learn about the film before judging it in that manner, just seems like such shallow criticism to me. Like complaining about a book cover. Imagine if RLM complained about a trailer not being in 4k. Its a trailer, it doesn't matter, its made by a different team separate from the film production, so its almost useless even watching it because most are so heavily edited that you don't really know what it will be about. Think Starship Trooper. I guess trailers are useful if you want to upload your reaction for views, that's about it though. You have to be pretty pretentious to think a trailer being in 4k will have any bearing as to the quality of the actual film. A studio doesn't have to care that much, and I don't blame them. Put focus on the movie, that's what matters.

I have assigned this Gosling glam-sham as a GreenScreen Wet-Dream variant of Brad Pitt's tasteless role as 'Cliff Booth', which mocked not only the legacy of Bruce Lee's inspirational (real life) character, but the tv character Lee played (Driver/Bodyguard...Kato) who infamously outshined the lead of 'The Green Hornet',(Pitt/DiCaprio?) in the lame tv knock-off of 'Batman and Robin'. So, getting the Ken doll actor who once played a Stuntman/Driver (Drive), to play a Stuntman/Ken doll here with less substance than the Stuntman/Wife-killer doll in one Tarantoesucker film (Once Upon...), and minus the depth and charisma of the Stuntman/Stalker-in a Car in that other Q.T. movie (Death Proof) featuring the Legendary Rose "MeFirst" McGowan. Before she went all 'Legend of Billie Jean' like the actress who once played 'Supergirl' before the BJ film saw her head shaved after being harassed by a creepy old white dude in power. BTW: Ryan O'Neal was once with Farrah Fawcett. She once worked in a fast car film with Burt Reynolds AND was once married to... 'The Fall Guy', Lee Majors. Oh, and Ryan O'Neal starred in 'The Driver'. An obscure 70s action film that Ryan Gobbling probably once saw.

Bruce Lee was a dick to stuntmen tho and then got outshined by Gene LaBell.

Interesting side note I think you'll like: Rose McGowan dies in a car crash in Death Proof, she dies by car crash at the end of Rosewood Lane, and has taken a photoshoot in a car crash set. In reality she claimed to be in a car crash which changed her facial structure, in reality it was a botched plastic surgery job. Quite the coincidence.

I truly don’t understand why trailers now just show the ENTIRE movie. Every twist is shown, every plot point, what’s the point in watching the final product? There’s nothing I didn’t see already in the trailer
