Yinxu | Ancient Site from the Shang Dynasty

Ойын-сауық

Yinxu, the site of the ancient city of Yin, marks a significant chapter in Chinese history. Located in Henan province near Anyang, it served as the last capital of the Shang dynasty, thriving through the reign of 12 kings over 255 years from around 1300 BC to 1046 BC. The discovery of Yin xu in 1899, led to the identification of the earliest known Chinese writing through oracle bones, making it a pivotal archaeological find. In 2006, it gained recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I appreciate your smooth pan shots, but could you pause on the written panels and sharp focus for a few seconds longer, please? I feel I’m missing a lot of the context. The feeling is evocative, but I’d like to know a bit more about what I’m seeing.

Don't intend to complain, but I couldn't read the information boxes; camera wasn't close enough. Interesting history. Thanks for sharing

These are 3000-year-old imprints of wooden chariots that have since rotted away. These are excavated from a royal tomb in Northern China.

Isnt archaeology so disturbing sometimes? Ruining people's places of rest digging out graves tearing them apart and showcasing and displaying the dead bodies as some trophy. Imagine if ur body was stolen and ur head was displayed in a museum. I don't get how people think its an okay thing to do. Dont get me wrong i love exploring the past, places, architecture, items, weapons.
