Have you seen or heard of Dklab? Specifically, their Mizar model with adjustable stroke? I'd love to see a review on that. I wanted an adjustable stroke machine and after researching about 25-30 different machines (including yilong f8) I settled on DKlab's Mizar, and here's why: 1- It has the ideal stroke range for me (2.7 to 4.5) 2- light, and comfortable shape (33mm x 131mm standard cylinder pen shape) 3- easy to wrap and still access all adjustments without risking contamination. 4- Battery, although short/average life (4-6hours) has a detailed color readout, showing htz, and battery level by color. 5- fits aftermarket batteries well. 6- unique drive bar/mechanism (moves perfectly straight and smooth as butter). It's a very nice machine for about $210 usd.

That definitely looks interesting. I will have a look and see what i can do. Keep in mind that non of this style stroke adjustable pens have a drive bar. They all have a disc system. thanks for the suggestion. I will have a look in to this machine

@Tattoobart147 Thanks for replying. Maybe "drive bar" wasn't the right term. They normally have a swashplate that "wobbles" and presses a pin, which pushes the cartridge (that pin is what I meant by drive bar). This one has a swashplate too, but the pin that pushes the cardridge is part of a mechanism that slides back and forth in a groove, and which doesn't move at all if there is no cartridge pushing it backward. It's hard for me to explain in words, but if you saw it, you'd understand. It's a little different from other machines I've seen. I'm not really sure if this is an advantage, but it seems like one. I've subscribed, and I'll be keeping an eye out for it if you decide to do a review on the DKlab Mizar.

🟡 I have a F3 and an F8 . I Ike my F8 better than my F3. I have to tape on my battery on the F3 because I want it more secure .The F8 battery is very secure. I’m old school I don’t like 4.5 stroke , I’m fine with 3.9 and 4.2 for lining. 4.5 seems to flex. Now I believe all this stems on what brand cartridges you use. I feel 4.5 might be stretching the medium priced cartridges and I can’t risk ever having a failing cartridge. I came from coils and needle bars and have returned back to this new era of cartridge pens and cart machines. I have the latest Fold 2 also. And I have a worm hole Orion . I can’t say for sure which one is best as I’m not doing a full job on daily basis thing. But now you have raised some interesting aspects between F3 and F8.. I’d be fine w only one pen Yilong as my favorite . My F8 hits as good as all the others I thought , but now I will have to put them back to back, and perhaps all four machines. I will say they all are so cool. I couldn’t part with any one them and the test for me will be longevity..thx bro for sheding your light on these aspects of performance.👍

Thanks for your comment. You are right the battery security on the f8 is way better than on the f3. I do feel the f3 lines a but better (ofcourse thats all a personal matter) and the f8 works a lot smoother dor soft shading and things like that. I am glad i could help 🙏 and happy to hear you are satisfied with your machine

A little like the f3, nice review andb machine my friend, but who uses a 2.4mmm, 3.0mm-5mm or 4.5mm adjustable stroke is a little more practical even in a lower watt motor, curious but your English and explanation rocks🤘🏻

Hi. I’ve been struggling to decide on what machine I want I’ve watched lots of your reviews but I’ve not heard a definitive answer for this question yet. What’s your favourite adjustable machine you’ve used thus far into testing all these different machines?

Hi, yes its pretty hard to decide which one is my favorite. I think i have to go with the yilong f3 for its power but it a bit on the heavier side, or the dragonhawk fold pro, which is maybe not as strong as the f3 but is a bit shorter and lighter and still gives a good punch. These are also my 2 go to options whenever i am tattooing

Great review bro! Awesome content as always! I like harder hitting tattoo machines myself. With that said, the F8 is not for me.
