I'm sorry but I just could never endanger my hands like that -- I would have to use some kind of level of skin protection -- Katie is a Beast Gal to grab & hold a fierce mad kitten! ♡♡

I rescued some feral kittens once and their teeth and claws are like needles, very painful! Kudos to the brave kitten grabber for her high pain tolerance! Adorable babies with great names!!!

I was honestly surprised that she just grabbed and carried them like that without trying to scruff them, which would have been safer for her.

Once on my way to work. I saw a kitten lying on a sidewalk, flat on its side, motionless. As I got close, it startled and ran to a bush. I found it under a bush at lunchtime and grabbed it. It bit me badly but I wouldn't let go. I tried to call a coworker to bring a box quickly. My hand was bleeding onto the phone. The phone and calculator icons were green...so first I "dialed" using the calculator. Soon the kitten was in a box. I went to the doc for a swollen bitten finger. By dinnertime the kitten was still frightened and not eating. I called the vet and they took him in right away. They x-rayed and gave him pain med. Determine his leg was broken in 2 difficult places and couldn't be mended, but that cats do well on 3 legs. I was offered if I paid for the x-ray and relinquished it, a group would cover the surgery and the vet's office had an adoption center. I hope it has had a happy home...that was about 5 years ago. It is no nice Hope for Paws has a connection with Cares and fosters as well as many of the rescuers go in pairs. That all helps with the stress of the rescue...for the people and the cats.

The few moments of absolute terror those kittens (and their mom) go through getting caught must be terrible, but I think them quickly realizing that it was leading to so much happier times is more than ample reward.

Angry kitten screeches make me weirdly happy, maybe because I know their rescue is such a wonderful turn of events in their young lives. Now on to forever homes for these sweet kittens.💕🐾🐾

Epic captures, Katie! Well done! Outsmarted that wily crew in the end. We especially enjoyed Sunkist's capture. The look of sheer outrage and insult on that tiny face was just priceless. She was so upset she got caught. Those arms and legs shooting straight out. LMAO! Just priceless! 😄💗💗

I laughed, too! His little face said, "This is an OUTRAGE! I am ferociously going to KILL someone for this!" The next thing, he's lounging on his back among his siblings showing his adorable tummy. Too cute!

Katie is an expert kitten Wrangler! Even with the Dayglo orange fingernails!

I just had to say good-bye to my tabby, Sneaker, last week. I rescued him and his siblings (who were adopted out) from the my neighbor's wood pile 16 years ago, and was able to rescue, spay and eventually get his mom in the house 15 years ago. Thank you for all you do Eldad and everyone helping rescue strays and lost animals with Hope For Paws! You are all treasures!!

Thank you for giving Sneaker and his family wonderful lives. Last spring found three 3.5 week old kittens. Well, they are 7 months now and not going anywhere. It's a little crazy around here, but it will keep us 67 yr olds young... Sorry for your loss...

I loved the way you named all the kittens and their mom. I hope all of them find forever homes soon. I'm sure Fanta will enjoy her life of not having the stress of caring for kittens again. Both ladies did an excellent job with the rescue.

The most important thing right now is for you to heal from your open heart surgery. ❤ I will never forget sitting outside the operating room as my ex-wife and co-founder of Hope For Paws had her open heart surgery... an 8-hour-long surgery! She recovered really nicely from it, and it changed her life (we're now 14 years after the surgery, and we're still very good friends). On your next visit to Los Angeles, please come and visit us - I'll be more than happy to introduce you to all our new rescued animals. Please rest, eat healthy food, and we will meet soon. 🥰

Katie has a heart of gold and hands of steel. Those little spitfires can really hurt! Sunkist was absolutely adorable showing his indignation at being captured. At the end, he seemed a bit tentative about coming out of his house to play, but I bet Cats in the Studio will have him frolicking around in no time at all. Thank you HFP and partners.
