Thanks again, but I find myself having trouble pronouncing the letter "ы" and I cannot improve. Any suggestions?

No surprises there. Ы does not really exist as a sound in English, at least not as its own letter. We are actually in discussions with our collaborators about how we can teach pronunciation of the letters that English speakers find hardest (Щ is another.) It's very difficult to teach using text, but a short tip is to say "ill", but place your tongue further back in your mouth. It’s important to realise that this letter only ever follows hard consonants, you won’t find it at the beginning of native Russian words. We recommend that you don’t spend too much time trying to practice it in isolation. Practice it by listening then copying full words and phrases. In particular, phrases starting with the pronouns Ты, Мы & Вы. Until we make our own videos, for a much fuller explanation try this video (off-channel): kzread.info/dash/bejne/hXhh18Glo62TaJc.html

I was told to practice in the back of your throat. Practicing that all the time helped me. (kind of like making a seal or seagull sound back there. You can do it with your mouth barely open

I learned Russian at the Defense Language Institute. The native teachers there told me to place a pencil longways in my mouth and say the letter "e". That this how it is supposed to sound.
