This song is full of emotion and the fear of losing a loved one. His wife had a stroke a while back, thank Jesus she pulled through and is doing well. It is also a song about keeping the faith in very tough situations. I will be seeing FFAK in OKC next month for the 2nd time. I cannot wait and I hope I cant walk after the show. Keep up the good work man, killer channel \m/

@@chrisy4011 It could have lead to the stroke...but that's what I read on their page. It was in the comments, someone posted about a video he did on fb/insta. I never saw the video, just mentioned it. If you want the whole story, then I would suggest finding said video.

This song is absolutely amazing, especially once you find out the meaning behind the song. His wife had a stroke and nearly died, so this whole song is about that experience and his feelings during that time.

This song is so sad 😞 I’m glad his wife is doing ok and hope she keeps strong and healthy!

Part of the similarity to Phinehas that you picked up on early in the song is likely due to Daniel Gailey, the guitarist for FFAK, Phinehas, and Becoming the Archetype.... which is kinda crazy considering Phinehas just released an album like a year ago and now both FFAK and Becoming the Archetype are releasing an album soon. Man's been hella busy

I was so happy to see new FFAK music show up. I was instantly into this band when I first heard Dark Skies, so I am loving this new stuff that embodies their heavier material.

In one of Ryan Kirby’s twitch streams he said the songs were already written before Trey joined the band. He just recorded drums for this record. Bobby is the primary song writer for FFAK

That intro screams Phineas 100 % agree and I love that so much, riff city! The chorus and breakdown are also incredibly well done, especially the chorus progression and 2.0, love the deathcore growls added in this one, like the last but without the effects

I loved this song. It has everything you'd want to hear!

Reaper was pretty meh other than the breakdown but this song has everything I love about Fit For A King. Extremely heavy but still beautiful and melodic. Also, I love the Phinehas-style guitar work.
