My granny said to tell you this, "I am in awe of all that you do. Thank you for the Girls Survive Series because she is tired of teachers only reading Laura Ingalls Wilder's series starting with Little House in the Big Woods as if that's the only little girl that had an "adventure". . . AND, she said she loves your natural hair."

My opinion doesn't really matter, but I just want to say that you're doing such an amazing thing for your children, obviously, and for the holistic child movement. You're a hero in your own right.

Columbia is nice but their homes aren’t spacious at all. I searched there last year for a home. Had to buy in laurel-which is not a huge difference. I do have a body sculpting company in Columbia. I like being there. One of My fav places in MD is Rockville/Bethesda area. Loovvveee it

Welcome back to Maryland, Akeeba! I'm a Realtor and Broker here. The lack of inventory is definitely driving home prices up. Have you looked in Pikesville, Reisterstown, Marriottsville, or Roland Park area in the city? You will be pleasantly surprised and find homes in your budget.

Hi Akeeba, I found your channel a few weeks ago. It has been an encouragement for me as a new homeschool mom. I am a realtor in Denver, CO, so finding the work/homeschool balance is a challenge! I read your captions as you toured, and wanted to tell you.. You don't need to justify your desire for a home this size. At all. This home is stunning, you work your tail off, and you love those girls in a way no one else could. From all the first time or seasoned buyers I've helped in my time in real estate, none have made me prouder than helping the single mom purchase a home... Relish the moment. You have a great head on your shoulders, so considering a great school district even though you homeschool is tactful for resale value. Yard space, basements, office spaces etc, it's all fabulous for resale. You are also gravitating towards homes that you and your family can G R O W in, so again- don't feel you have to justify anything about the size of home. You're a lovely, humble woman. God bless you on your journey. 🏡

Preach it sister! 👍 I definitely agree with you~ 👍 I went to Christian private school & public school in the 90's to early to mid 2000 era but some of my cousin's at the same time were home schooled. Those of us who went to private / public school could definitely tell the difference. Our cousin's on my mom's side who were home schooled were wayy ahead of us academically speaking. I remember talking to them & asking my cousin's about home school etc. My aunt & uncle have around 9 kids all home schooled back then & my cousin's explained. They did there home schooling in the morning the rest was home work & after finished they could do whatever they wanted to as long as there chores were done first. They explained to me they got done pretty early. My older cousin is into play's opera, classical etc. It was mind blowing as a kid sort of doing a comparison vice versa. They always seemed more relax too where me & some of our other cousins same side of the family who went to private / public schools were a little more stressed out back then. When I got to middle & high school I started questioning certain things more so about the progress of my iep etc. Found out different things from different teachers where I was academically speaking & not many really gave me a straight answer. I remember asking several reading teachers where I was on my reading level & in both elementary, & middle school I got the answer your just a little behind but you'll eventually catch up. When I entered high school & was put in a regular ed reading class my teacher had me step outside the classroom to talk to me & asked if I knew where my reading level was & if I was sure I could even compete in her class & she looked embarrassed when she told me my reading level was on a 3rd grade reading level. I explained how none of my teachers gave me a straight answer each time I asked through out the year's & asked to please give me a chance. She did. I managed to improve my reading level from a 3rd grade reading level to between a 11th & 12th grade reading level. The next 4 summer's I read alot of the Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen adventure books, then Mary Kate & Ashley sweet 16 book series, along with shakespeare books. By senior year was in advanced reading class by taking the initiative to be self taught outside of school. I also used both lunch & study hall periods to my advantage to either read or do any homework. I ended up way ahead in several classes. I can say this much one thing that helped with English class particularly. When we assigned books to read & give a report on. I called my local library & got the audio version on cd then read it along the book version to make sure it sank in. I also got cliff note books for each book as well. 🤷‍♀️✌️

I wish I could think of the gentleman name but he wanted to make Oklahoma an all black state. He succeeded in quite a few towns and some are still in existence. Tatum, OK being one and where my dad was from. Glad you enjoyed your stay here.
