Group1, it makes so much sense as I am currently working on creating and publishing my own tarot deck which is a HUGE project especially being a one person team :D. I'm a little over half way done with the art and already started working on my Kickstarter page. I'm definitely motivated and wanting to see this project thru till its completion. I always listen to Vanessa. Last month she told Cancer that it wouldn’t be a good month to get a job. I was so worried. Here I was applying for jobs left and right, and on the day I saw her video, I had just gotten a job offer. I thought it was a great salary, rather the best I was going to get, and it was for a corporation but I figured it would be ok. It would be a good learning experience, you know what I mean? Vanessa’s voice was in the back of my mind and I was like, ok, I guess maybe this is one of those times where I decide my fate kind of a thing. As it turns out, an old manager of mine who I had parted ways with over conflicting views had taken up an assistant manager position at the very same location. This meant that again, he would be my boss. I had to leave. I spent the next three weeks applying and applying. Then, on the 28th of April, a small start up contacted me and wanted me to take a personality test to see I was a good fit. Long story short, yesterday I was officially and my salary will up to three times higher than the old one. Come what May!

Group 2, I am in tears. Happy tears. I am a musician (it’s my job and passion), and my question was: should I delete social media? I have millions and millions of streams on Spotify but the pressure to keep up a social media presence is too much for me. I hope this isn’t tmi, I don’t always share this much in the comment section, but I feel as though this time it will be worth it to share my experience with others. I want to delete my socials because don’t like their role in my personal life. When I use social media, I am constantly comparing myself to other artists and the content they create, feeling worse about myself in the process. I rarely feel inspired to post, and only ever do it out of fear that I will lose listeners if I don’t. As an artist there is so much pressure to be on social media, and it’s true that you can create so much growth that way. It’s how I got to have millions of streams in the first place. But after a lot of inner work, I have learned that what I TRULY want isn’t more growth. It is to comfort those who I am truly meant to help, to bring them peace and self-love, and I trust that they will find my music regardless of how much I advertise it, especially since my audience is already quite large. I haven’t posted much on social media anyway in about a year, and the only reason I haven’t deleted it yet is because I haven’t seen an alternative path until now. I feel that in a way, my leaving social media as a fairly popular artist will show other people my age- Gen Z here- that it is possible (and even healthy) to live a life outside of the digital. I’m not saying it’s inherently bad to use social media; I am simply showing that the alternative is possible. Especially since I am an independent artist and I haven’t seen a popular independent artist make such a decision and still be successful. I will show other creatives that it IS possible. I’m not yet sure what I’m going to do instead. I will probably make a website or something, just so people can be updated with what new music I’m working on. But even though I don’t know where I’m going, I know where I don’t want to be. I am going to take this leap very soon, and even though I don’t know with certainty what will happen, I trust that I am supported by Spirit in my decision.
