YES Live at the Nassau Coliseum 1979 TORMATO TOUR (SILENT 8MM)

Ойын-сауық

I was never a fan of yes but I agreed to go with my friend, who was a big fan. For some reason, I filmed a reel of 8mm, which I just had
professionally transferred to a video file. I was about to discard the original reel but decided to share it with anyone who actually wants to see this out of focus film.

Wow I would have loved to have been it that show seeing them during that rare tour. I mean seeing yes during the parallels tour is a pretty rare thing seeing anything from that tour but then this tour this is awesome. Thank you

Mega rare footage there. The reel is worth saving or pulling on e-bay.

I believe they use the same stage for parallels tour and the tormato tour. That big circular stage right in the center of the Arena nobody had done anything like that up to that point not even kiss

Going for the One tour was on a regular stage in 1977. Tormato Tour was in the Round starting in late August 1978 continuing though 1979.

Tormato was the last great album from the seventies they put out. Then came drama next but that didn't have John Anderson Rick Wakeman on it. it had Trevor Horn on vocals and Geoff Downes on keyboards. It was a cool album I thoroughly enjoy some of it but tormato still encompassed that original yes sound and it was a complete album. Drama has some really catchy tracks on it but I didn't think the whole album was great. They put out some previously unreleased material on tormato and drama from the 79 Paris sessions which are great included Allen White Chris Squire Steve Howe. And the only two songs they kept from those sessions , they used on drama was tempus fugit and does it really happen. So at least they used some of that material from the Paris sessions. I just wish they could have hung onto Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson for the drama album. But it is what is they were breaking into the decade of the 80s with a pretty good album. And in the coming years yes really breaks into the mainstream especially when they get John Anderson back and Trevor Rabin on guitar
