better devils with good stab makes it feel really good, i havent really enjoyed high range unless i sacrifice a little for stab

I specced my sustringer like this back in season of the haunt and it’s still my favorite handcannon…most of the time

Rapid hit and opening shot has been the most consistent roll I have used.

Better Devils, Ace, and Hawkmoon are the only 140 handcannons I can actually use without missing my shots 98% of the time, so glad it’s back

Interesting how the ace, better devil's, and Hawkmoon is your strongest 140. Dire promise seems to be my go to hand cannon so I understand.

Got the god roll perpetual opening shot enhanced with small bore accurized range masterwork and I love it

FYI the Better devils model is the regular hand cannon icon in your weapon wheel

Enlightened action + Zen moment. Easy way to buiild into range while keeping stability/handling at a good level

Better devils has been my favorite since day one. They screwed up when it was reawakened on forsaken. Now, they remodeled it and made it look like new.

This has been my go to weapon this season, already got 500 kills so far on mine while playing casually, it has moving target/EP.

I got reconstruction and one for all, I just used it in a GM and I loved never having to reload.

I do think this gun is better for pve personally.

Corkscrew, accurized, rapid hit, opening shot, range MW is the god roll.

I miss my Auto-Loading better devils, I used to pair it with fighting lion and it was my baby

I've got a 70 range roll with moving target opening shot, despite its overall lackluster stats, it at least feels nice

i used BD so much in year one it is still my single most used weapon all these years later lol, super happy they brought it back with a new flavor, i absolute love it. My go to roll is just rapid hit/explosive, very similar to the OG, simple and straightforward but so, so good for everything.

Imagine that! 100's of Better Devils that AREN'T the same roll!? We've come full circle. Better Devils "Now In Green!" I'm not a fan of the weapon model, but it's always been a great feeling gun! Literally the right perks away from being a meta pick.

I like it in comparison to rose because of rapid hit kill clip, but my Spare Rations also does that and arguably just as well. Better Devils has a weird kick to it but once I got the hang of it on console it just felt so easy to use which I enjoy. It and Spare Rations are essentially my standby until I can get a god-roll Rose

I didnt realize it can roll slice+hatchling! I wanna mess with it for a strand build

moving target, explosive or perfect float and kill clip are my go to right now. good for 1v1 fights

Had one guy in trials with an explosive round scout spamming shots to keep my team of 3 snipers flinched the whole time where hitting shots was impossible…. It was a first time for me to come across someone with that idea. It worked because I missed every snipe after he switched to it where before I hit 5 snipes for 3 match wins and we ended up losing 3-5…. Craziest chess game ever. I should have switched but my ego 😂

Hit rapid+zen with 67 range and 59 stability. Pretty good

rapid hit + explosive rounds is a good match with stability and range

I’m still grinding for this thing for a while. And I just got a explosive rounds but not a moving target😢

Hand cannons are the most annoying gun for me purely because I don’t usually farm for them and then when I play the occasional PvP session and I use scouts I get destroyed from midrange. I then think “maybe I should swap to a hand cannon”. Except I don’t have any.

The best combo is underdog + shield disorient. 😮

Just need to hit 70 range. Explosive and slice go together well, since explosive rounds do more dmg to tangle, freeze/heal turrets, wall nades and the explosive makes it easier to take care of wall nades without needing to aim so much…. Just hipfire and you are clear 😂

I have a zen moment perfect float with 68 range it feels really good to duel with

I have a zen rapid hit roll that I love it’s amazing but I definitely prefer rose over this for movement

I think perpetual elcap is probably the way to go it has the best stats in the game with those perks

Frost please be fast this might get patched very soon, go to pvp, equip peregrine greeves on titan, get a diamond lance, bring out your eager edge sword (no ammo needed) then pick up the diamond lance while running, swap weapons so you lose the lance and gave your gun out instead and congrats for 2.5 seconds your shoulder charge has eager edge distance, it works with anything you can use as melee

I got one with hatchling and basically haven’t taken it off in PvE since in PvP I definitely prefer Rose or Epochal

Better devils isn't good for the stats, it's good because it feels so damn fucking good to use.

Isn't it just a little better kept confidence. That how I felt anyway. Just another supply bank from crucible to delete like everything else.

I managed to get a really nice roll with rapid hit opening shot, accurized, hammer forged and a handling MW, it's nice to just mess around in 6v6 but the issue is it's handling is mid at best

I think theres more issues than that. We have stat monster like, fatebringer, eyasluna, ace of spade, palindrome, exalted truth, hawkmoon, kept confidence, rose, lunas howl, midnight coup stats low buuuut aim assist is insane, of course austringer. Better Devils is a great pve gun but idk about pvp. Just soooo many options instead of this gun. Unless you love the model.

A.e ace good but recoil pattern with kick just baf af, palindrome you can't get and without rf it kinda meh, exalted you also can't get(usual one just mid), kept confidence feels worst than better, midnight just even worse than mid, luna in energy slot and it precision... Surprisingly in reality Better Devils feels much better than indicated in the stats.

Honestly the best thing is to say "I love this gun regardless" My favorite gun is the dire promise but I'm trying to sell a quarter bottle of water at full price. There's crap ton of hand cannons better than dire promise. Just like there's a crap ton of guns better than better.

@@jamaledwards8118 Sure you playing with gun if it fits in parameters: 1) You like it. 2) It can compete. 3) You play well with it. For me right now only 4 guns which have all of it: Hawkmoon, Fatebringer, Better Devils, Eyasluna(but now i play with it much less). So everyone has their favorites.

@@Daemonic6 see the thing is the guns I mentioned are all capable and viable vs the better devil. You don't have to sacrifice stats for range. The majority of the guns I mentioned can hit a threshold of 60 range and stability. Palindrome isn't great because of range finder it's great because it's a stat monster. Also kinetic has some powerful special weapons. 3 S tier shotguns are in the kinetic. Astral Horizon, Conditional Finality, and Someday. I care about stat package over perks as range, stability, and handling are the things that makes hand cannons great. Midnight coup gets a pass because the aim assist is dumb on this gun which allows you to build craft differently while using it. I love the model of better devil's however the range in this meta with pulse, dead mans tale, and 120s on top of the top tier 140s makes it hard to validate this gun. Yes in the hands of a good pvp player it's great but no player will use this gun when it matters unless it's for a specific build.

The explosive part ignores range, however your actual shot still requires you to be in range, also helps with enemy targeting and stuff. So yeah you can neglect range a lot more with Explosive Payload, but it doesn’t hurt to have it still

its just the model of the weapon. it is built diff. I also believe perpetual motion was meant for this weapon. The stat bumps are necessary for this handcannon.

I got small bore, accurized, perpetual/perfect float, zen moment and range MW and i can say i like that roll much more than any roll of Rose. Maybe if the was instead perpetual rapid hit it was god roll of god rolls.

I want a zen moment roll to see if I like it also want it to cause big booms with the strand artifact

tbh in my personal opinion i really enjoy using rangefinder zen moment because it just easy 3 taps with no problem and its so consistent

I have that same exact roll. Except I have hammer forged and stability master work. So my range is at 72 but stability is at 54 :)

No drop mag, dismantle.

Personally, the only roll I've really clicked with so far was a Perfect Float Zen Moment roll. That thing doesnt move no matter what you're fighting. Except for EP. But that's probably more user error than anything lol

this is more of a pve gun. It's not even top 5 hc in slot when you think about it... but it's a great weapon for prismatic/strand pve builds. For pve recon + explosive is also a good roll to consider.

Prismatic Hunter is so busted. It’s ruining crucible at the minute.

This is at best mid tier. Doesn't stand anywhere near Rose or even Midnight Coup with better perks like OS + EP.

Hell nah, Better Devils is not that good compared to the other better 140s due to the stats. You have to compensate too much on the stats in order to be able to compete at range. When exotic handcannons, Rose, Eyasluna, Fatebringer, Kept Confidence, etc. exist and are way better. People are coping too much with this gun for PvP lmao
