When I was a kid, I couldn't find cats around here, now I can't find a place where there are no cats. For the first time in my life, the food I was going to distribute was not enough for the stray cats because many more cats were abandoned in this area overnight. And at that moment I prayed to God that someone would come and bring food to the cats. God answered my prayers and sent a kind-hearted woman to distribute food to the hungry cats.
I am 40 years old and I spent my childhood on these seashores. 20 years ago there were no cats around here. We would compete with other children to pet the few cats we encountered. Because there would be no other cats around. Years have passed and there is no corner left without a stray cat. At this rate, the number of stray cats in Istanbul will soon exceed the number of people.
You will encounter at least this many cats on any seashore in Istanbul. I will feed these cats today, just like every day for years. In today's feeding, I plan to catch the black cat that was abandoned here by her owner. All attempts to date have failed. I plan to catch the cat that tears the safety glove and does not enter the cat catch cage, with a cat catch net. The most feral and strongest black cat I have ever encountered in my life. I thought I had succeeded this time, but this cat managed to break even the most expensive and highest quality cat trapping network in our country. You win for now, black cat.
Most of the cats here are fed, treated and neutered by our channel. All the cat houses along the coastal road were built by us and have survived even in the harshest weather conditions. We distribute 30 - 50 kilograms of cat food to stray cats every day. We sterilize a minimum of 30 stray cats every month. In other videos on our channel, you can watch the cats we have rescued, treated, adopted and the cat houses we have built.
I wanted to give the remaining food to a few cats living in the other area. But I didn't know that many other cats were abandoned in this area. Many cats that were not here yesterday were abandoned here today. The way municipalities solve the stray cat problem; It is to collect cats from city centers and leave them here.

Lets pray for all countries who fall drastically behind in laws and education on animal welfare as Türkey is not the worst country for cruelty. I follow rescue channels that save cats and dogs from so called meat markets. 😖.

When I heard too much I was afraid it meant that they would be put to sleep and I didn’t want that! I’m very grateful this gentleman and his friends are feeding these poor animals that don’t have a forever home yet. It is a big responsibility but I believe he/they receive donations. I surely hope so ❤

These cats will never have a forever home. They will live on the streets all their lives. It’s not a bad life. People in Istanbul are kind to animals, they take care of the street cats, but often their homes are not suitable for pets. Living on the streets, the cats have a free life. Unfortunately they don’t live as long as a house cat, but the life of a street cat is more natural.

Plz seriously consider donating since lone, abandoned animals simply cannot survive on their own. I try to donate a little every month since an animal in need, is an animal in need, bo matter where they are in this world. I try to feed stray cats too on daily basis and it's a lot of work. So, unless you can adopt, foster or volunteer to help animals, then at least donate, even if just a small amount. Every cent to these animals is a matter of life and deth. Plz choose life and donate.

Totally agree. A GoFundMe charity dedicated to building a CATuary would be a first step to have one place to spay, neuter, and adopt cats to Forever Homes.

i just don't understand. here you are feeding all those kitties - i would do the same. i feed the feral and other animals at night around here . I have tried to adopt rescued cats from a couple of groups around here and the people are so picky they are not adopting out - but continue to complain. I have had cats all my life, none of them suffered for love , medical care or food. now i only have one kitty and she is lonely. And yet people cannot bother to phone me back and let me adopt. Now one place is having to close because they don't have enough money----what will happen to those cats - yes, the same people i got my cat from. i just don't get it.

Perhaps the government can do something about the people abandoning these poor kitties, and make it law to have your cats neutered and spayed. Chipped for identification of cats owners or some other way of controlling the abandonment of these wonderful animals, it’s such a shame, even with the dogs that are abandoned they are never all strays that wondered off from homes. it’s sinful. And sad even though they are fed by you and others in Istanbul. Many thanks yo you your family and cameraman and friends Aldo the vets and the many people ego feed cats in different shores and parts of the city street. Without you many of these cats wouldn’t survive the pregnancies and cat fighting or the wickedness of some people. Bless you all I pray for you and kitties to receive all you need to make a good life for yourselves and the kitties of Istanbul.
