    Yes tama k nmn sir. Pero you should consider also some element factors. Weather now in philippines is so unpredictable,besides if you check the prices of either corrogated or long span type roof per linear meter price is almost the same as traditional build, not to mention other materials such hardiflex, sound proofing,insulation and other sedatives.

    Architect, thanks for sharing this. I would like to share something to your subscribers too: The urban poor has been using GI sheets as sidings for ages. Many may not have done so in ways that follow standards, but, yeah, the GI sheets are effective. Another story: I have lived in an apartment before that used corrugated GI as sidings. It was a two-floor apartment. The 1st floor is very cool. So it's good. The 2nd floor is hot for most of the day. Meanwhile, during the cold -ber months or typhoons, it's also very cold. We can also easily hear the noise outside. I think these also because the owner did not install dry wall and ceiling that has good installation and sound proofing. If I remember correctly, the dry wall (and suspended floor) was simple plywood. And we don't have any ceiling at all. But, yeah, overall the GI sheets themselves are pretty effective in protecting us from the elements.

Nakakabahala pa po dahil SA sunog.

    Another informative video, Architect Ed. Seems like metal wall cladding is a no brainer for use in the Philippines -- it's durable, easy and cost less to install, pre-painted, etc. Makes me wonder though why not a lot of Filipinos use such material. Is it just a matter of them not being informed? Or is it the impression that they won't withstand typhoon-force winds?

  • @zodiacfml

    @zodiacfml

    because there are many issues with metal wall siding that is not mentioned in the video or he is not aware of. Concrete also not far in cost if you one avoids smooth finish and paint. metal sheet construction best for non-residential applications like business location, warehouse, sari-sari store, or speed of installation matters more than long term benefits of concrete.
