Yerevan is the capital of Armenia and is a city that is twenty nine years older than Rome. In 408 A.D., the Armenian alphabet was created with thirty six letters and thus began a new era of history, culture and the spiritual world of the Armenian people. On the basis of these first manuscripts and subsequent translations, Armenia’s first library was founded in the fifth century. Old Yerevan contains traditional buildings with wonderful entrances and carved wooden adornments that continue into the actual living areas. The facades of multi-coloured decorative stone are quite fascinating. Oriental design reveals the original influence. On the western hill above the city is the Memorial Of The Genocide Of The Armenian People. New gravestones commemorate the victims of the conflict on Karabach Mountain. Arranged in a circle, basalt steles protect a flickering eternal flame like a closing hand from distant times. In the eyes of the Turks, the Christian Armenians posed a major threat. Taverns often feature singing, dancing and good food. Armenian music is very varied, often sounds oriental, and literally invites one to dance! The folk dances are quite acrobatic and dancers almost fall into a state of ecstasy due to the constant pulse of the music. Today Yerevan is a vibrant city that has become a booming metropolis in the South Caucasus and is one of the oldest cities in the world, a living reminder of the ancient Orient!

Such a beautiful place, the architecture and ancient history is just amazing, Armenia has held on to their cultural heritage.
The footage was great on Armenia! Although, the music is not Armenian it was an Arabic/ Turkish mix. We are not Arabic nor Turkish. There is beautiful Armenian music that would match this footage much better.

The muzic in the film is more arabic than armenian .It spoils the impression .
Please change the title image on your video, you are using an image of the one and only mosque in Armenia, which only exists because it was requested by Persian neighbors, to inaccurately represent an entirely Christian city and country.

Beautiful city
Thank you for covering Armenia, it is a great video. But why is there Arabic music playing with a video about Armenia? And Armenians were always spiritual, not only when they adopted Christianity, they a are people who would follow the stars and were highly intellectual and devoted to finding the Divine meaning in life. The first monks were indeed Armenian.

The music sounds Egyptian more than Armenian, the duduk part in the beginning only sounds Armenian, the reader butched all the names in Armenian he could have butched, all the names of Churches, Museums, kings and nuns were butched, but I appreciate the fact that they talk about Yerevan, at least that xD

First name wos Revan then it became Irevan ...when Armenian came to Irevan from Syria Turkey Iran etc. and Azeri people killed relocated by Russion and Armenian ..there it called Erevan..

@@suleymanmusazade2688 Yerevan was Erevsn always part of the Armenian Kingdoms. It came under Persia’s rule in the 16th century than it was liberated with Russia’s help in 1827 or 1830. Esteban was founded by Armenian/Urarutian King Argishti. Look it up!
09:06 It's not Persian mosque but Azeri Turkic. Even the name of the mosque is Turkish (Göy mescid). Until 1920's Turks constituted 45% of population in Yerevan before genocides and ethnic celansings against AzeriTurks

Yerevan fell under the rule of Persia. Yes Persian Azeris lived in Yerevan under Persian rule. Esteban was founded by the Armenian/Urarutian King and one of the capitals of the Armenian kingdom. It fell under Persian rule in 16th or 17th century until around 1827-1830 it was liberated with Russia’s help. Look at historical maps there’s Armenia no Azerbaijan. Yes I’m not denying Persian Azeris lived in Yerevan /Urevan for 200 years but it was under the Persian rule. There was no Azerbaijan empire. Azerbaijan is a Persian/Farsi nane created in 1918. Many Armenians lived in Azerbaijan, they were cleansed out during the Karabagh conflict. My uncle witnessed Armenian children being burned alive in Sumgait in 1989. Also, Armenians burned alive! Eastern Turkey is historic Western Armenia. Again you Turks deny this but have the nerve to claim Yerevan, Zangezeur, etc.

Yerevan is the historical city of Armenia and older than Rom city. Armenians are indigenous of Yerevan. When there was Yerevan azaries and turkey not even exist around. And Your Revan or whatever you should look somewhere in Central Asia around your native homeland inside of your Turkic family not in Christian World!
