Yeonmi Park mentioning how the NK Government doesn't want them knowing certain words reminds me of the story about a librarian who had to teach a former convict about computers. He went to prison several years before computers became available to the general public. He kept asking her questions about the computer. After about the 3rd question in, she asked him if he ever used a computer. You can probably imagine how baffled she was having to teach a guy how to use a computer from ground zero. I imagine Park probably went through a similar process when she had to learn the concept behind words she never learned. Woke young people constantly walk around speaking about stupid absurdities. Yet, not a SINGLE one of them has been arrested for doing so. They have no idea how much freedom they actually have. They would have been jailed in any non-western country, eons ago.

*I'm from Poland. My country was under communism. In 1989, the entire country fled from this dictatorship*

Yeonmi Park is such an incredible, inspirational, phenomenal loving human being. Thank you Yeonmi for your strong words, truth and wisdom. She was meant to be here on this earth to struggle the way she did and to come all the way home to help us realize more than ever now, what we should be so greatful for and to also what to look out for to save our nation. Thank you for loving our beautiful country, America. Thank you for telling Americans to love and to stay united. Yeonmi I love you. May God bless you and protect you and your family forever.

Lovely Yeonmi, she is a treasure! I remember the first time I heard her story, and the impact it made on me in my early adulthood. I realized then that I complained too much, and that I needed to be more thankful for the life God blessed me with. I’ve followed her ever since, and continue to learn from her perspective. She is truly such a beautiful person from the inside out❤️

Such a beautiful comment! When I watched her interview there at the conference, I felt the same as you did! I felt grateful for my life, but also a desire to take advantage of my blessings and continue to do what I can to stand up for truth and help others!
