Yemen Traditional Music

Музыка

Yemen is a country at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. It is the second-largest Arab sovereign state in the peninsula. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north, the Red Sea to the west, the Gulf of Aden and Guardafui Channel to the south, and the Arabian Sea and Oman to the east. Yemeni ethnic groups are predominantly Arabs, followed by Afro-Arabs, South Asians and Europeans. Modern Standard Arabic is the official language of Yemen, while Yemeni Arabic is used as the vernacular. Yemen is a culturally rich country with influence from many civilizations.
Traditional Music Channel is for everyone who has a passion for music.
Music is an expression of human creativity. UNESCO reports that among all the performing arts, music is the most universal and is found in every society, most often as an integral part of other performing art forms and other domains of intangible cultural heritage.
Traditional forms of music are considered carriers of cultural heritage because they represent expressions and traditions transferred through generations of a community.
With recordings from more than hundred nations our collection of traditional music offers a staggering diversity of our humanity.

Wake up, dear Serbian neighbor! Don't be naive, because jews and muslims are the fiercest enemies of Christianity!☝🏻☦️ Don't forget that the Eastern-Christianity☦️(Orthodoxy)☦️ was the first religion in Middle East and North Africa! Even Western Europe is the enemy of Christianity with its atheist and lgbt propaganda nowadays! This is a big problem which comes from the catholic traitors! But Orthodoxy☦️ resisted for centuries and it will always be here and most of us, we are ready for another Crusade by the srebrenica model, if we feel threatened by the filthy enemies and non-believers! The Orthodox nations suffered a lot and the time for payback will come with the will of The Almighty God!☝🏻☦️🙏🏻 We are the real Christians, not America and Western-Europe! They are as enemies as muslims and jews!

Great selection! Can anyone tell me...I know it says that these songs are from Yemen but some of the melodies sound like music that I have heard from Analusia in Spain (Al-Andalous.) I am aware of the moorish occupation of the Iberian peneinsula but the Arabic spoken in Morocco is (I believe) "Maghrib" and the Arabic spoken in Yemen (and other nations in that area of the Arab world) is called "Fousra." In either case I am fascinated and not want to casue arguments but bring light enlightenment and ideas to my mind and these wonders from these nice songs inspires me. Thank you! Spaceeba! Shoukran! Tessekur! Domo-Arigato! Gracias! Obregado! Merci! Danke! Grazzie! Hvala te! Efkharisto!

FusHa is the standard/Classical Arabic. It is not spoken anywhere, being reserved for formal speech. However, Yemen and other places close to the area where Arabic originated (Arabia) speak an older/purer dialect.

  • @abdulalsaidi962

Ebor York Technically speaking Arabic developed in many areas throughout the Arabian peninsula and Levant. There were multiple dialects at the rise of the Islamic empire. But it was decided that the official dialect is the one from Mecca seen as it’s the heart of Islamic culture. Plus Yemen is just like any other country with its own dialect. Matter of fact what makes it stand out is how many dialects. Going from one district to another the dialect changes. There is also the pronunciation of letters which in this case even if spoken in Classical Arabic is changed.

Rogin the idea that Yemenis speak fus’ha is extremely unrealistic. Yemen has many different dialects and non of them r close to fus’ha. What your hearing here is poetry being converted to music which often takes out the dialects which the people speak. You see this with other dialects especially in the 50’s. Also the language developed over the different regions which is why you have different dialects. Aramaic has the greatest influence on the language, and it gets more in the levant then Yemen. There’s also influences from Sabiac and Himyariac and they can be felt more towards Yemen. It’s hard to determine much abt this. But I can tell u now that Yemen doesn’t speak fus’ha at all.
