To me when they release mandate of heaven i was excited to play the yellow turbans. Yet I never play they anymore no good mods to recruit regular officers. Pretty much i use a mod called "gotta catch em all" so i can get generals when i beat them . Yet that mod does not convert them right so i don't even bother playing them. This also from someone with 2000+ hours .

I’m also slightly disappointed with that DLC. I’ve expected a bit more after wining Mandate war. Unfortunately there is nothing to do other than capturing whole map.

Do you mean that Oversimplified is not an accurate source of information? If yes, thanks for letting me know. Do you have some good recommendations on Three Kingdoms topic? I wish to know more, but I spend most of my time reading Special Operations Forces books currently.

@@private_jakub Oversimplified sure compressed lotsa Chinese history into a digestable introductory, though otherwise contains information and humor that ages like milk, since the content was long launched at the year classic TW3K is launched (before the Yellow Zhang Bros DLC were released after a industry-affected PR disaster clearly revealed to the Total War devs that the 3K story is definitely about character focus instead of the unpopular time skipping scenario that is the Eight Princes of Jin DLC). Gates of Kilikien has two or three videos that discusses Three Kingdoms, besides the history of Chinese cities or provinces and their strategic geographic values. Serious Trivia, being a Chinese American gamer in KZread since 2019: having literally built his career around the launch and well calculated experience and devotion of the topic of and the game; has dedicated series of historic events, battles, popular fiction, topics, and characters of the Three Kingdoms, while using TW3K content besides maps and other games in his Let's Talk Lore series (which is about to reach the series covering the Decline and Fall of the Three Kingdoms to the rise of the Jin dynasty led by the Sima clan). Finally, a couple recent videos by Accented Cinema covers the background of the Han dynasty and it's usurped predecessor in the tyrannical Qin dynasty (the Three Kingdoms are briefly mentioned, as AC focuses on how national media provides cinematic contexts to viewers, many of them young and old fans, Chinese and Overseas, of epic Chinese martial culture popularized by the novel the Romance, of all times), as well as rating popular accessible movies and TV series about the Three Kingdoms. An animated series by Cool History Bros also explores the epic historic period that actually is more inciting in it's well compiled titular records and annotations than the popular epic literary novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is a historical fiction retelling the histories of the kingdoms of Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Jian's sons, and their loyal soldiers and advisers that serve their factions that partitions Han China into three kingdoms. When books of foreign languages can't be learned by a lack of lingual understanding, there are at least topical videos about these of which I tell forth to you, a promising content creator whom I've just been recommended by the algorithm today. A final disclaimer to conclude is to wisely examine which topics come from among discussions about the Three Kingdoms, that being one might mix up events of history with epic fictions of popular renown.
