Yellow corn Fix

Ойын-сауық

I do not think this is the fix but it will not hurt! I do need some of this as the tissue test reviled but I do not think this is the issue. I think the issue is that the herbicide hurt this corn. weather its last years herbicide or this years herbicide I do not entirely know but its something! anyway im hopeful with a little rain it will pull through it and thrive but who knows.

I don’t know what your weather is but typically in my area yellowing corn happens when it get warm and it’s due to the microbe population exploding and consuming the nitrogen. Purple leaves is a localized phosphate deficiency. It doesn’t mean you have low Phos in the soil but usually stunted root issue from cool weather after germ. Phosphate is not very mobile in the soil structure. That’s my two cents worth

Thanks Wes. Looks like you have a handle on the problems. I hope you can get it all taken care of in time to have a nice yield this year. Maybe these problems are why the previous farmer gave up on this property ? 👍👍😊😊

It might indeed be a chemical damage. Back in Europe we used Mikado. If you applied in sharp weather and you doubled it, the corn would turn white 👍👍

Marestail became more of a problem with chemical programs and are now glyphosate+ resistant. Since it gets established the prior fall; a heavy planting of winter rye in late August/early September could drown most of it out in the fall and no impact in the spring.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Was wondering how bad the damage has to get before the penergenik comes out. The cyber trucks are definitely an acquired taste. The biggest thumb’s down I have heard is the story of people being towed to the dealership because of a electrical failure and no mechanical backup for opening the doors. Lots of impressive technology upgrades like 48v electric to minimize conductor cost, corrosion, and power loss. Dicamba damage makes sense. Grass is a monocot just like corn, so the fact it is damaged suggests fertilizer isn’t the issue. Corn is pretty tough with respect to dicamba, was there anything else in the spray mix that could have amped up the Clarity?

Are you adding humic acid to your spray? Read a lot about it this year so I started adding a 20% humic at 1 quart per acre. Very interesting what the studies show it can do. Also, I’ve had marestail in a few fields the last several years and liberty absolutely smokes it when applied during warm days.
