2024. Still awesome music.

From a producer perspective this song is rich of analog sound and has a wide dynamic range. Lightyears ahead. Remember when I was 16 and listening to this track in a radio and tv shop for demonstration purpose 30 years ago. Great music.

The thirteen minutes and twenty six seconds listening to this track, is not waisted time at all.

Yello's production values are without peer. This is a perfect example. Pure, clean, audio bliss.

The stereo on this and their other songs is superb. Great thunderous drumming giving your bass reflex speakers (and headphones) a full workout. Back in the day having the vinyl record it was vitally important to have the speakers correctly positioned. the graphic equalizer set to optimum sound dynamic quality to maximise sound quality and best stereo effect. So when you heard the racing car it would feel like it has just driven right through your living room!

Blasting thru those attenuated walls even now

If a group with a good singer or rapper sampled these guys drums and guitar they would instantly reach number one, holy crap I'm now getting why people in the 30s and 40s were so fond of big band music.

I remember hearing this track as an 11 year old child. Even now, 34 years later, it sounds incredibly current. Yello and Kraftwerk came into my life and Electonica reigned ever since. ❤️
