The scene where SRK arranged all the kids in a row pleaded me to cry!!! After all every child is born to enjoy his or her childhood, whether it be a Brahman or Dalit!!! How can we even differentiate?? ( Don't mistake me, I wrote Brahman and Dalit just for an example)

Most under rated song ever.... This song shows the discrimination in our society. Every word of the lyrics tells us the importance of every individual of our country doesn't matter that person is from upper cast or lower cast if we are not together we are nothing.i feel sad that we are not giving recognition to these kind of songs

There were many reasons to it, first and foremost being it's length. Another one was that screenplay was not able to grab the audience's attention throughout the movie. Overall, the idea was good but implementation was not proper.

When it was made, no one gave damn about it and when I saw it I was 7 and I still remember how spellbound I was... At that time audience were busy watching comedy films... Lyricist is none other than the great Javed Akhtar sir. He just breaths poetry, him and Gulzar sir are legends of their work and modern philosophers imo

The maturity is when you understand the deep meaning of unity in strength of this song....such a masterpiece and class movie with simplicity in acting cant be recreated again

This movie comes Today i will go rite now what a theatrical experience it was I feel so blessed to have the experience of watching this movie first of it's releasr in the theatre!!!

One of the best movies of Indian cinema which gave us a feeling of togetherness and True patriotism. Nowadays u will not find these kind of movies, only propaganda movies made by some money minded directors and producers are ruling bollywood which will try to break us and create disharmony amongst us. Take a bow team SWADES. U have created the unimaginable and true cinema lovers will never forget u.

Everytime I listen to this song, I get goosebumps when I hear the flute. The pace of scenes sync with that of the flute so seamlessly. Pure Magic !

This movie has so many instances which proves that it had to hands down win the National Awards and yes SRK of course also deserved a National Award himself. What a movie, still chokes me every time I see it.
