This was the first Yebba song I ever heard. And I spent 2 weeks listening,watching and crying ugly. She’s what I call a “ vocal gymnast “. Another artist to listen to is LP.

Yebba sings each emotion at different stages. The grief, the sadness, the anger, the resolve, the hurt, the disbelief and the feeling like you gave them everything and they did you dirty. It does make you feel like you are going to lose your mind, but you are trying to keep it together. Hell of a performance. Check out Larry from Les Twins dancing to this song. Incredible.

Her mother died by suicide about a week after Yebba sang her first original song, causing "My Mind" to take on new meaning representing mental health. She says her artist name was chosen to honor her mother, who she said "always called her by the nickname" (her name Abbey written backwards) as a child.... yes I concur with your all‘s reaction when I first heard it I had to dig deeper because of how she deeply portrayed the emotions and it makes sense now a little more... since I too lost my mother four years ago so this song is very personal to her I hear her saying it it becomes personal for me all that being said I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the interpretive dancers called Les Twins they are awesome at what they do the one brother Larry does an interpretive dance to this song and it is so wonderful so I am requesting that you look at the video you won’t regret it thank you and have a newcomer to this phenomenon of reactors on KZread so I’m learning as I go you are an inspiring couple Much love

🤣😂...thank you Rae. You are so right, he is always so chill, it use to drive me crazy 😜. I am sure I drove him crazy at one point with my LOUD BOISTEROUS ENERGY, but we do balance each other out. The kids have the best of both worlds between the two of us.
