It's nice to just have a fun Platform Fighter that doesn't try to be mr competitive first, and fun game second. This game is a blast, despite the switch ver having only 30fps and a large amount of bugs.

These kinds of games are usually pretty fun at first. It’s never a question how fun it is at first, it’s usually how long it stays fun.

I got OG Nick Allstars and my opinions were indeed mixed… but crap do I might want to give this one a sliver of a chance.

@@LOADINGSPECS MBIC, it's been out for like 2 days. Hardly enough time to say how well it's doing.

Honestly, this Roguelike game mode looks heavily inspired by Subspace Emissary, so that's already a reason to love it. Also, Eevee is just the absolute master of suggestive commentary. It's a common KZreadr trait to have a tendency towards it, but he just produces it like a factory.

This is fun. I hope you keep covering more of this game which I'm gonna be playing a lot of on this game.

1:23 Trust me, Invader Zim is worth the...more than occasional freakiness, for the simple fact that GIR is cute. And his merch is in literally every Hot Topic. 1:51 That is a member of the Foot Clan from the 1980s Ninja Turtles series. They're recurring villains in this franchise. 4:18 I'm glad you're familiar with Avatar at least, Sophist. It's only the best cartoon ever made!

While I want it to do well, one issue I always find with these games is they lack replayability. Smash has a big roster, but it also has items, tons of stages, world of light, spirits, etc, whereas NASB and Multiversus didn’t really have anything to keep it going once you got past the initial charm and nostalgia. Even the next best, Rivals of Aether, became niche until custom characters got added.

The Ladies are bad ass in this game, its awesome playing as Azula, Ember, and Granny Gertie. 4 characters are in the Works btw and i know 2 of them are Zuko and Uncle Iroh

I wasn't sure about this game since the hype for the first one died pretty quick, but watching you play the campaign mode actually made me kinda interested! Great video, Sophist! :)

I still want a remake of Nicktoons Unite! We need the 4 OG All Stars of Danny, Timmy, Jimmy, and Spongebob back together again!

Hoping that CatDog appears in the DLC. They were one of the most picked fighters to play as in the first game. Plus, Tom Kenny and Jim Cummings voiced CatDog anyways, so you got two veteran voice actors here as well, along with the OG voice actors in here, INCLUDING the OG TNMT voice actors like Barry Gordon!

Honestly all star brawl had mix feelings. Though it was easy to understand gameplay the characters were not balanced enough to have people get their own main and they all gravitated towards one character.

The dev team explicitly has stated they aren't trying to replace smash. They made an addition to the platform filter genre. It's like if people said Battle for Bikini Bottom would be a replacement for Super Mario 64. This wasn't even a thought in the developers heads

Do you think of this for Dragon Ball FighterZ, too? One of the reasons DBFZ is as successful as it is is because every move is a reference to the show. Plus, up until now, it was also where the only decent platform fighter was, so it's a safe bet that the most hardcore platform fighter fans also have Switches. Not hard to wrap your head around. I have a PS5, so if I decide to get this it'll probably be on there, but if you don't get my point I can't help you.

Neither does the rest of the game. The first one was a paid beta test. This one's paid early access. Maybe by the 5th game they'll make the actual game.
