My friend plays hierophant regularly with an FPS unlocker, his pilot moves faster than time acceleration. The amount of accusations of hacking is absurd, I’m glad you’re bringing this info to light, no one believes us when we say it’s frame rate based. Should hopefully get fixed anyway though.

this is so true, i use very obscure stands with vampire (hg, white album, GE, cream, PH etc.) and people consistently do that to me too, it's sad and they are just making a fool out of themself, instead of just insulting me they should figure out how to counter my stand

I know you're curious, thanks for doing the review but i'm not quite done yet. After two months of using Hierophant + Vampire, this stuff never gets old. And yes, it's a little predictable to skilled players, so be every so slightly on guard. HOWEVER, that being said, there are very few who have beaten this, even less than my 6P + Vampire cheese, which was (and still is) ridiculous. Anyways, for your next build or bust, why not keep the hierophant train rolling? Next BOB: Hierophant Green + Vampirism. You won't regret it.

I've seen a few HG's in 1v1s already, and indeed if you get caught in the barrier ur a goner. You MUST NOT GET BARRIERED, you have to bait it out then just wait. For me, I main vamp, so space ripper stingy eyes is an excellent tool, as its a ranged, basically unavoidable ragdoll, so if they hide in the barrier they get kablooie'd. (one HG player complained about me running because i basically wasnt entering the barrier, rip) I want to add that the triggers for the barrier to stun and shoot you ARE the ACTUAL green lines you see, so its possible to jump and maneuver out of the barrier like the classic security lazers trope

Or you know, just use love train or scr. When I played hg, most of the time my counters were reflect stands rather then counters. The barrier also stuns the user with the reflect so they can just combo off of your OWN barrier. Don't know why this wasn't mentioned but reflect stands seriously counter hg to the point its impossible to fight an scr with it if they spam yos. The best you can do is attempt a marionette control but that's essentially all your options with fighting an scr or lt.

@Pearl Maguma most of the time I find them using it way more often like hence when I put up a barrier or use emerald splash to try start a combo. Yos lasts for a really long time and has a pretty spammable cool down especially if they max yos out. I tend to be under pressure from scr since they can just do over 50% of my hp with like no effort thanks to conq will. Even a bad scr could just yos into the barrier or a splash and get a combo off of that using your projectiles to add onto the damage. Again its still impossible to put pressure on the scr if they have a passive playstyle since spec moves dont do anything.

as a old HG main, I am glad it is fixed and it being my favorite stand in Jojo, I'd say they did him justice

I remember before hg got super long barrier cooldown and when there was a square when you did vaporisation There was this one guy with hg vamp and he did a combo with atleast 5 barriers and there was life drain into barrier and vaporisation into barrier and marionette control into barrier and it did nearly my whole health and he couldve kept extending it

Tip: Eclipse I’m not sure if you know this already but you can block love trains damage reflecting on you if you hold block and damage reflects it will show that you blocked the damage

Most hierophant green players get very close up when they do emerald splash for the most damage, so you can try to use any uncancellable ragdoll moves (except for platinum slam, it doesn't hit pilot stands). It's pretty hard to do if you're slow though, but it is still a way to counter the barrier into pilot emerald splash.

FINALLY WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!

I used to have hierophant black boxing on my alt while trying to get the heart for mih and it was broken and so fun, unfortunately I had to roka but it was still awesome to use

Tip when fighting an hg if they do pilot emerald splash and barrier at their user you can use certain moves like kcr scythe and vamp eye beams to cancel emerald splash and if they pose on barrier to heal pressure them with a bunch of projectiles and if they get you in a barrier and ur time skip is on cooldown barraging first isnt a bad option as hg does like no dmg with its barrage and sure they are going to jaw breaker right after but taking that 29 dmg is alot better than taking 80+ from their barrier combo and even if they land the marrionette control while u try to barrage first odds are you are probably still negating dmg from taking a jaw breaker into a hg combo and their barrage does no dmg so in the end you are winning those barrage trades and stands with a 2nd barrage such as tw, sp and sptw kick barrages also work for stalling out their barrier if you get caught in it without time skip available

The reason for the emerald barrier projectiles being tied to FPS is because the FPS of your game can, from what I’ve seen, screw with your hitbox. That would mean if someone playing on like 5 FPS walks into an emerald barrier, it most definitely will have trouble shooting the emerald projectiles due to their hitbox being completely out of place due to it being delayed.

I used to main hierophent green and I’ll tell you this much : if u land marionette, u can jaw breaker then eye gouge, so you can follow up with a barrage

I have an interesting idea for a vid: Hide somewhere in the castle where diavolo is and get scr and put it on the bridge then say in chat there is new scr boss on bridge then wait for ppl to come then kill them pretending to be a bot then when u kill them press z to remove your stand to seem like it tp back to spawn (I did this once and it was very funny)

I've been playing a lot of 2v2s and when there is a hierophant green on their side, I know I'm screwed, especially when their ally is a ts stand (which tend to have high destructive power.) when they get comboed, the other instantly cancels it out with m1s or a ts, if the ts stand gets comboed, well then we get emerald splashed into a very, very long combo.

I recommend using boxing gloves m1s when u hit marionette control since they are faster, while still deal same dmg. It does not apply to usual combat since the hitbox is not that long as stand m1s, but once again, when u hit mc it is better since enemy basically moves towards you, right into it It is a small thing that will save a little bit of even smaller thing but still deserve to be told about

A counterplay I learned when I fought a hg, just keep getting into a combo of it and see how he does, counter what he tries to combo you with and get him, sometimes when you can't get close or your stand doesn't have a projectile, get combo'd by it and wait for him to be agro against you, he'll get closer to get you instead of using the pilot. Probably?

emerald barrier actually does have a trigger limit, each individual string can only trigger once also quick tip for HG vamp, emerald barrier strings will trigger on ragdolled players so lifedrain into emerald barrier is a guaranteed confirm into it (you can't even timeskip out because it applies the stun while the enemy is ragdolled)

Used hierophant green during the start of 1v1s candy grind and since barely anyone knew how to counter HG with the new buff, they just got constantly put in a shredder of emerald barrier and boxing moves. I was able to get the boxing claws using hierophant green alone.

I personally think that the marionette control balances out the other weaknesses it has, however this is still outrageous

i think you should add a score rating at the end like: combo ability and other ratings then a total rating

How to beat HG… just use TWAU lol, you can spam them with projectiles while they’re in the barrier, you can do the time-skip-heavy-punch thing, your M1s hurt decently hard, and you can use rage to beat them up harder.

It's funny cause I just went against a mobile player who jumped out of all my attacks while using heirophant remembering your earlier video and then seeing this after malding for a solid 20 mins from a 15 minute unwinnable match (:

I just started playing hierophant green boxing today and its absolutely op and i literally see no one playing hierophant with a build i just meet them trolling or stuff. Hierophant green is balanced because any attacks of its moveset are cancellable and it does low damage, making it harder to play it. Emerald Barrier is also a really good move to counter ts stands

Busted hg boxing combo: t, m1's, v, m1's, c, walk to them (t is still active), use z, spec barrage into the barrier, let them get hit by the barrier, and redo the first combo

Purple Haze is so fucking annoying to fight against, your stand crashes every time you get hit by a bulb, and poison doesn't allow you to pose during it. (to prevent people from posing in the zone of SBR)

I tried every spec for Purple Haze and I gotta say either Boxing or Vamp are really busted on it. The bleed and burn stacking plus the fact that your poison cloud punch STILL activates even if you block or are ragdoll makes this absurd, I don't recommend Pluck imo because you're very fragile but you can do some crazy stuff on the cloud instead of barraging

I used to main HG, but It bugged tons of updates, hackers using the turret HG thing, etc, but its a really enjoyable stand after all

My friend has encountered HG vamp user who was 1# in 1v1 leaderboard and this was an incredible cheese I believe lol

As a SM main i proudly announce im immune to HG cheese. Emerald splash is same as vola barrage, just use jump while they're on the windup and/or head charge Let my minion deal with the barrier and/or jump if needed And my stand is on after jaw breaker (thanks, passives) so they can't do the barrage in the combos and finnaly head charge is a total save from combos (you know, usual head charge stuff). And also i should mention that thanks to hamon, i have a lead of .2 damage per attack and more speed on barrage then the HG so if i wanted i could barrage first (but i wouldn't since that'd be mean and also too aggressive. If you play way too aggressive, you can get a rest from your agression in hell). Another day of thanking God for SM existing only as my stand, and for his awesome no stand knockout feature

yo i just found out that you can pilot chariot requiem infinitely, meaning if you go out of an npc's range, they just dont care about the black god stand attacking them. the only problem is it doesn't have a yellow skin

from what ive seen with hg time skipping out of barrier would activate the barrier and you would just be stunned into a eye gouge or marionette control then back into the barrier

what's the point, spin does no damage, shit defence passive, the stun, which is basically non existent doesn't matter, since you have zero projectiles that profit from the stun, emerald splash isn't true from spin balls, just use emerald splash outright, Boxing and vampire are the elite for hierophant green, and at that point standless is better, since you can upgrade better things, it is GAAAARBAGE, the spin balls in emerald barrier only do 15 damage, and jaw breaker does 34, Over double that amount, it has good defence passives, it has a long stun, and does big damage, there's no point Of Spin Hierophant green, and even if you wanted him to see this, you'd have to go to the latest build or bust, but you cant, since it's already been picked.
