I think the Speaker is right in the sense that MPs should do their homework and observe the proceedings of other Westminster style parliamentary systems to get a better understanding of parliamentary decorum. Even basic things like not addressing members directly but to instead address the speaker and address others in third person, not go into a shouting match when another member has the floor but won't not give way and proceed orderly to call for division instead of arguing the merits of it are somehow above and beyond Malaysian MPs. It's not like the behaviour you expect from a person worthy of the title "Yang Berhormat" but more like a samseng fight in the pasar malam

Pendapat peribadi, sekolah harus mengajar dan menerapkan cara berfikir mencari kebenaran dan membuat keputusan berasaskan fakta yang kukuh. Selepas tu, tak kisahlah ttg politikkah atau perkara lain, masyarakat yg mampu membuat penilaian berfakta sendiri akan sama2 menjaga kepentingan negara secara menyeluruh, bukan hanya kerana terpengaruh dengan kata2 yg disebarkan

As an MP shall present in parlimen everytime no excuse busy or other matter, how mmany days peryear the meeting is hold, if cant attend the meeting, how to represent people, better resign, we see so many MP absent during the meeting

No politics is taught in civics sadly. Never cared for politics until 2018. I was 22

We can't blame the MP too much if they don't perform, if they don't attend the Parliament sitting, if they don't read, if their debating skills are lousy, if they are of no quality because at the end of the day they are there because the voters put them there.....we reap what we sow.

Where/how to apply to sit in the sessions ? YB said theres a website, does anyone know?

The Speaker is excellent....however some MPs are not up to the mark as far as debating quality is concerned.....too bad that at times we are not at the august House but rather at Zoo Negara.

young generation nowadays including older generation like me..feel politics is still the same from both sides..since the government change sides many times since 2018..we can see nothing changes..only politician convicted..thats all..

I think the new MPs must have training how to talk and debate in Parliament to avoid useless talks.

As an MP, don't you think these things are basic requirements? By the time they have become an MP, these skills and etiquettes should have come naturally with them. Yet, we can clearly see incompetence from some MPs in the parliament. They only know how to politic.
