YaYa’s Alpaca Farm in Garden City, MO was an amazing way to spend the afternoon. We met the owners Karl, aka YaYa and Kathy who where amazing to talk to. They do so much with the community schools and they work with Project Hope. Bringing Joy children with challenges and making their wishes come true. These Alpaca are beautiful, gentile creatures that love you because you have Food for them...They have beautiful big eyes and their fibers are amazingly soft.
There is one very special Alpaca at the Farm, her name is “Christmas” born 12/19/2017. She needs the assistance of two prosthetics to help her navigate life. Karl and Kathy refuse to give up on her, she’s something special and calls out to you when you get close to her. She’s absolute doll.
The team was setting up the barn for their big Christmas Events and it was looking amazing. If you are in the area, try to grab tickets for those events, or just spend the afternoon hanging out with these beautiful creatures.
