যেখানে দেশের বাজেটের ঘাটতি প্রতি বছর বেড়েই চলেছে ,যেখানে দেশের loan outstanding balances বেড়েই চলছে,অন্যদিকে অর্থ পাচার সমান তালে বেড়ে চলছে, যেখানে দেশের central bank থেকে কোটি কোটি টাকা চুরি হয়ে গেলো যা ফেরত এলো না,যেখানে আজে অর্থের অভাবে মা তার সন্তানকে বাজার নিয়ে যায় বেঁচে দিতে,যেখানে অভাবে পরে স্বামী স্ত্রী বিষ খেয়ে আত্মহত্যা করে আপনি সেখানে কি development দেখছেন বলবেন কি?

It is easy to talk and give advice when you are sitting on a stack of $. Bangladesh will continue to develop next couple of decade that's why we are called as a developing country. Bangladesh will develop much faster if free competition is ensured. Lot of people getting quick rich by maintaining under the table contract with the govt. At least US offers more wages to cover up the high living cost, but in BD, wages are kind of stuck into the 2015 wage scale revision of BD, but the living cost of people keeps rising everyday. Our minister is living in a paradise-like house with heavenly facilities given by the government and pretends to be completely unaware of the external situation faced by the people out of his house. He is just babbling around some information from the news. He is a businessman, he should stop trying to appease the public. Quite a feat for all these Bangladeshi businessmen, they started off as trading houses now they are worth billions. What is happening in Europe is more than business, they see this confrontation with Russia as a war between two civilizations. And Europeans are willing to pay a financial penalty to make Russia succumb. Mr. Khan is a businessmen, whatever he is saying makes sense, if it is from a businessman’s perspective. But it doesn’t make sense if he is saying this as an individual Bangladeshi citizen. How will setting up new power plants by a certain conglomerate benefit the masses? Electricity prices will go up and the conglomerate will make more money. The public will have to foot the bill, not conglomerates like the ones owned by Mr. Khan. There has been a lot of talk about this quick rental thing, and Mr. Khan being one of the richest men in Singapore. That is the reason why he has come out with this interview. If Mr. Khan made all that money outside Bangladesh that’s totally fine. If not I wonder how he took out all these foreign currency out of Bangladesh. Bangladesh has one of the strictest foreign currency control regimes in the world. Don’t know much about this quick rental thing, but it seems that his conglomerate has been taking the payments in USD from the government and somehow all that money is being remitted to businesses he owns outside the country.
