What a heavenly voice

This is from the Sephardic tradition. In America we are mostly familiar with the Ashkenazy tradition, which is from Europe, Eastern Europe....Russia, Germany, Poland, etc. The Sephardic tradition is from Spain, Greece, Turkey, Morocco and Jews from the Arab world. She sometimes sings in Ladino. It is a medieval language. Primarily a mix of Hebrew and Spanish...but with some Arabic, Greek and other Mediterranean languages in the mix. One note about medieval Spain. The Jewish mystics there and the Sufi, the Arab mystics there, had a great relationship and deep respect for one another. Many Sephardic musicians regularly perform with Muslim Arabic musicians, in respect and harmony....like the rest of the world should be. We are all brothers and sisters. We need to find a way to live in peace.
