After the video I decided to go purchase some of the Big Twist Posh and I have to say I am a FAN!! I love working with it. I was able to make corrections without it deteriorating before my eyes like some of the other chenille yarn. It definitely is like a cross between bernat blanket and chenille and I am fine with that! I purchased your ice cream cone pattern as I've been wanting to make some and it turned out great!! I do hope they come out with more color choices but all I have to say is Big Twist, well done!! I saw this big twist posh at Joanns and it had the colors that I needed for my project and it was on sale. It is on sale right now for $5.99. I LOVE THIS YARN❣️It's very soft, glides smoothly + works up very well. I don't want to go back to basic yarns. CHENILLE FOR EVERYTHING............❣️Oh ,ya, and no shedding. I also use Parfait Chunky, it's so soft and squishy. I'm going to look for this the next time I go to Joann's. I have used Joann's Big Twist Plush and it is really nice to work with and turns out great. I used it to make your flower pillow for my granddaughter for Christmas, which she loved. I just picked this yarn up yesterday and also decided to make your mini cone! I almost bought the mint but decided to go with the white and make "sprinkles" with some worsted weight yarn. I've only used the Parfait Chunky for one small project and now this. I'm really liking it. I like being able to buy it local, but as you mentioned the colors are limited. I haven't used either enough to compare the two brands, but I'm glad I found this. Will definitely go back for more colors.

I LOVED this yarn!! I had the purple one and made some adorable little bunnies and a conversation heart pillow. Makes sooo much with that amount it comes with! And it doesn’t shed like basically AT ALL!! I bought some of the Premier Chenille yarn after this big twist cuz I loved it and wanted to just go for it finally and can’t even with the shedding I had to deal with😓😵‍💫

Hi Crochet Wonder let me say I came across this yarn before Christmas and I love it. I’m making a pink panther for my husband and so far I love it. When I bought it I got it on sale as well. It work up so well and yes it does not shed much at all feels good on my hands with working with it and I don’t have a problem with hiding the stuffing because it covers well.

I also wasnt a fan of Chevelle yarn from it falling apart i was thinking there wasnt a bulky yarn for me! Definitely going to try this!

you’re just like me with yarn preference!! i like the big twist because it doesn’t shed and is easy to pull and frog, but its thinner so i have to use my 8 hook for my plushies to be the same size as my plushies i make with my 6 hook. i dont like bernat because it feels so ugh!

I'm interested to try it! I love Bernat Blanket, but there is definitely a big difference between that and actual chenille yarn. (Personally, I can't figure out why so many people love the Parfait so much- it sheds SO bad compared to Honey Bunny!) Think I may go grab some this weekend! Thank you for the review!

Thanks for the review! I haven’t tried the Big Twist Posh yet, but I did try the Big Twist Plush and really love it, it’s big soft and fluffy. And it doesn’t fall apart like some others that I have tried. Have you tried the Plush? Do you like it?

I love the big twist brand!!!

I knit a 42" chest, long sleeved sweater and only used 3.3 skeins of this yarn. The ball band suggested that I get 6 skeins for an adult sweater. I saved my receipt and returned two. Sheesh! It does shed a bit when you cut it and if you aren't paying attention, the core will unravel and you get a thread and piles of fluff to vacuum up.

I love parfait xl. I really want to love parfait chunky....I have so much of it! But for some reason my amigurumi never comes out tight enough despite the hook size I use and you can always see the stuffing. I've keep using snuggles or Snuggle lite and parfait xl without issues.

I LOVE the Posh! I found it on accident and picked up a few... I dislike parfait chunky only because I feel like it's hard to frog. I really just wish the Posh came in more colors

That’s one thing yarn reviewers always leave out- how the yarn works when you mess up! Would you say the Posh is easier to frog? (I tried Parfait Chunky and swore it off after wasting so much after making tiny mistakes with a new pattern.)

I hope they come out with Red. Premier just chenille cones doesnt have red and it drives me crazy. I hope posh has a red soon

Thank you for such a detailed review! My Joann’s doesn’t have it in store yet (of course while there is a sale going on but that’s another story lol) so I didn’t know what to expect. I was super disappointed in premier parfait because you can’t MR with it and it sheds HORRIBLY. Would this be worth it if you could only get it full price?

Yes I think it still would be worth it! Especially if you hate chenille yarn that sheds, this would be good to try out!

How do you prevent shedding when you work in the tails on your projects?

I saw it in store - it was a bit thinner than i was expecting

I feel like it shouldn’t be used for this but that yarn feels like it would make a great bath mat. it almost feels memory foam-like.

It feels like memory foam to me too! It’s such a weird texture. I got it right when it came out on Joann’s website and was hoping it would be similar to parfait chunky, sweet snuggle lite, chenille home slim. But it is not nearly as soft, and it doesn’t have that luxury shine. I think it would be great for a bath math, or for crocheting baskets.

I have only tried a chenille yarn one time years ago & I hated it. I had so much trouble with "worming". I swore never again! It was a nice chenille from Germany, but, awful to use! Have the chenille yarns gotten easier to use... no more "worming"? I don't want to waste money again. Thanks.

@@wondercrochet if you don’t mind me asking you have you ever an Indian brand blanket yarn here in India I use a brand name Ganga blankie yarn and let me tell they really sooo soft and they fuzz out much and are easy to work with if you ever find the Ganga blankie yarn than do give it a try

I can't get behind anything Big Twist puts out. They push it out and it's in stock for a month or two and then they discontinue it. I had skeins of the Tranquil line, which was beautiful to work with and ended up selling what I had because I couldn't get more for future projects.

Checked out this yarn wow it’s really expensive for what you get.

Premier parfait chunky shed a lot I mean like a lot! A buy that brand because I see a lot of videos talking about this brand but the truth is that it sheds a lot and I don’t like it! Definitely prefer use loops and threads lite and is way better more soft and more tick than the premier parfait chunky !🤷🏻‍♀️

Only problem is ordering from Joann has become a nightmare. They have cancelled my whole order or didn’t have half of what they said was in. I won’t order anymore.

Yeah I contacted Joann and asked which one it is and they said it’s a #6, they messed up the labels
