yes, the rhythm is called yanvalou..it can be played solo or by an ensemble of drummers. For a traditional ceremony the rhythm is played by a group of drummers each playing a part so you get more melody, variation,calling etc..Most of the time for a ceremony you ll have at least 5 musicians..Tet tanbou, mitan, kata, bass and the bell...

Papa Legba is the spirit, yanvalou is the rhythm that goes with it
