My Dearest Yanni,........I just wanted you to know, that Your Music brought such great joy to my Beloved Mom, while she was in her final stages of cancer, in 1997, despite all the suffering and pain she was in. She insisted your CD's to be played while she was in her hospice bed, and begged me to Dance to your Music in the living room, and I did...I Danced for her to Yanni's Beautiful Music, doing Improvisational Dancing of the Modern/Ballet Contemporary Dance I had always done...my Mom had always been my (by far), best supporter of the Dance I did. It was her final wishes, and your Music comforted her so very much. Your Beautiful Music has healing power for the Soul. I hope you get this message........ Thank You

RIP :( I kinda understand how you feel... My dad was suffering through depression (I think) and in his final months he showed interest in Yanni and this song... He later passed away from a lung failure and asthma.

My father passed away two days ago. He used to love to listen to Yanni, and this track playing way back in the early-mid 90s, from a cassette inside the Pajero that he had as an official vehicle is one of the earliest memories of my life. I'm in a foreign land and current suitations created by the state I'm in now didn't even allow me to bury him and see his face one last time, but wherever you are now father, I hope you are happy. If anyone's seeing this, please pray for me so that I can carry on his legacy, and the ideals and values he had deep in his heart.

She is very beautiful and has amazing smile , her smile added a lot to the effect of music on me and i think on other audiences as well , the music is great in its own but i would rather to see her playing it whenever is possible . Camera man should Zoomed way more on her face also he did not face her directly more than fraction of a second . It was the left side profile most of the time while her face was towards the opposite direction . I also i notice , it was like a dialogue was between her and Yanni while playing , as soon as she looked at him he camera man or director ) used another camera . It would be awesome , if all dialogue gestures was captured . I not going to forget to thank Yanni , his amzing bamd and all his team work including ( directors and camera men who did great jobs here and even greater and perfect jobs on other videos )

Yanni is a Greek musical God 🇬🇷💙

I close my eyes and this takes me to another place!

I remember a night long ago while emersed in a painting, not paying attention to the TV in the back ground.. I looked up, but only after this beautiful music coming from my television caught my attention. I'd never heard anything like it before, but even at 23 I could appreciate it for its intelligence and complexity. This person was able to bring together different genres using unique instruments from different cultures flawlessly creating a grand palette of musical compositions to choose from that would satisfy any mood. At the next intermission I soon learned it was yanni presenting his latest concert, Live at the Acropolis on PBS during one of their fundraisers. For over 30 years he has been played an innumerable amount of times and still, I never tire of hearing his compositions. He accompanied me to my art classes for 6 years because his music does not interfere with the creative process it promotes it. My kids heard it from in the womb to graduation wiring their brain for success. My oldest surprised me with a tattoo on his arm that reads, "Within Attraction." It obviously made the impression I was hoping for. And still to this day I listen with the same enthusiasm as I did when I was 23 and first gazed my eyes upon him.

@@ryanpeplinski1884 yes I know and Karen Briggs will always be my favorite violinist for Yanni, but having to point that out discredits Mary’s talent. It still takes massive talent to play this solo and make it sound authentic. Samvel never plays solos like this or Renegade. He can’t do it. But Mary’s talent is good enough to handle Karen’s solos.

I am sorry brother. This one's a ton times better. It has clear notes and without excess vibrato. +Mary Simpson was aware of the beats and every time the rhythm would come to the loop she gave the needed emphasis there, which Acropolis version lacked!

This violinist is also exceptional but for me Karen's playing was phenomenal she took it to a new level. Each to their own opinion. I know a lot of so called professional players would disagree but there's always going to be haters and jealous ppl

You never signed up or volunteer for a "Disease of the Mind." One of the best thing your doing is "Talking About It.' Everyday I start out with prayer. First to give thanks. Then I pray for others. Have been listening to Yanni since the early 90's. Love his music & his orchestras. The man is a musical genius in my opinion. His music makes me happy. Cheers!

You can tell each and every one of these musicians truly love what they do, and love working with Yanni. Their body language and smiles speak volumes! I love the way they all look Mary (violin soloist) with absolute pride!

Live at the Acropolis took almost two years to plan and $2 million dollars to fund the whole performance. That's why it was on a whole another level.
