Rayos la mismísima Darlene en persona, señorita por más que busque las palabras, no serán jamás las exactas para agradecerle el gran regalo de volver a escuchar su hermosa, maravillosa y melodiosa voz angelical, la combinación de tan Bella mujer con estás cuerdas tan celosamente trabajadas hacen que su sola existencia la vuelvan una gran obra de arte esculpida en carne y hueso, y saber que se encuentra en perfectas condiciones, la convierten en una Leyenda viva en la música, que a la fecha no me resulta Agradable que no conozcan a la mujer que llevó este tema, a mi parecer, a ser la mejor versión de esta obra musical. Yanni was one of the few people who introduced ordinary folks to the wonders of opera.

Omg this performance!!! It is the most moving piece I have ever heard!!! Thank you Yanni!!!!

This performance is simply perfection. Everything about it; the melody, the arrangement, the musicians, the stadium, and of course, the two vocalists. I kept my tear ducts in check until the last 25 seconds when Darlene delivered that final, pitch perfect soaring note to the song's climax. Some tears are worth shedding.

It is the best of the best version

Yanni live at the acropolis is perhaps the ultimate experience. I was watching it on TV with a surround sound system and it...well, I'm not sure how to explain how it made me feel. Mesmerized? Joyous? The visuals and sound production were immaculate. I want to experience it again.

I was fortunate to see Yanni and all the original principles of the first tour of Live at the Acropolis in Seattle -May 1997. Seattle was always the last stop of his concert tours and a bit extra special, since it was during the 10+ years he was dating Linda Evans who lived an hour south of Seattle. I have the original DVD and CD. I have seen Yanni 5 times in concert, but IMO, Live at the Acropolis is his finest collection of work. As a self taught piano player, learning to play Until the last Moment, is a cherished accomplishment.

When that commercial came out I was 13 yr old. I remember it for two reasons- one is this Aria and the other one being the stewardess who stole my heart and haven't yet returned. 😎

And the human eye formation in the end formed by many human beings and that 'wink' to close the ad. You won't believe how many people I have spoken to about that ad and this extremely high pitched vocal rendition as its background and people still don't remember.

I saw these two lovely ladies in the concert tour of Live at the Acropolis in Seattle May 1997. It was the last concert stop of the tour. He was dating Linda Evans, who lived less than an hour away in Lakewood.WA and in theaudience. To this day, that concert is one of the biggest highlights of my life. I have seen Yanni 5 times, but Live at the Acropolis concert IMO is Yanni's collective concert finest. Also as a self taught piano player, learning to play Until the Last Moment, is a cherished accomplishment.

Live at the Acropolis is where the best performance was of Aria, sung by Darlene Koldenhoven and Lynn Davis.

My wife and sister went to high school with Darlene. I went to a presentation by her in Homewood. Never forget it. It was magic. I tanked her and did my best to get her to Ttinity, but could not accomplish it.😢

Just to be clear, Yanni didn't write the song. He took the "Flower Duet" melody from the MUCH better French opera *"Lakmé",* added a bunch of pop shlock and rhythms to it -- and had two shrill singers warbling something close to the tune but not the lyrics. Listen to the original (especially the one sung by Sabine Devieilhe and Marianne Crebassa) and you might realize what an abomination this really is.

I remember we had this VHS video at home when I lived in the states in early 90s. I was looking for this video on KZread forever and I finally found it. It brings back a lot of memories. We watched it all the time. I also loved that lady of color in red dress playing violin and how amazing and joyful she was. This concert created a foundation of my musical ears ❤.

I'm sorry for the others who try this song, these are the best vocalist in the world 🌎❤️💙💚💜 Not knocking anyone else, just none can compare, the music, location, vocals, just everything about it. Glorious day 👌😊👼

I went to a Yanni outdoor concert in early 90's in Raleigh NC (before his music went into the stratosphere). Darlene sang this and honestly I thought her voice would shatter the overhead stage lights! People were in total silence with their mouth open in total awe as to how amazing she was. I'll never forget that concert as long as I live. Still a Yanni fan after all these yrs. He is a musical genius IMO!💖

Sorry, no. This is just a cheap vulgarisation of the sublime (and much BETTER) "Duo des Fleurs" from Lakmé. Anyone who knows the original (especially the one sung by Sabine Devieilhe and Marianne Crebassa) can't help but find this pop shlock version cringeworthy.

I discovered Yanni as an 8th grader, who would spend his lunch break helping out restock books in the library! I remember listening to this and just being filled with happiness!!! Its now been over 25 years and this song still has the same effect!!! Masterpiece of a song!!!
