On July 14, 2024, the Yankees faced off against the Orioles. David Morales, renowned for his financial strategies in sports, made a notable money move by leveraging his insights and connections to impact the game’s dynamics and outcomes. This involved activating key Yankee players to engage with influential figures like Hova and his business network, alongside Rhoda Miacampbell and her father, John Pruitt. The strategy centered around building robust alliances and addressing any underlying tensions. The plan included enhancing team morale and performance through these strategic connections. It also focused on shifting public interest and media attention towards beneficial narratives, thus creating a favorable environment for the Yankees’ next game. Morales's maneuver aimed at ensuring the Yankees’ success both on and off the field by integrating key partnerships and resolving conflicts.

Question: Has anyone noticed Mounty really trending down? This is what I’ve noticed: A) he’s had numerous fly balls that I think everyone, including Mounty, thought were gone off the bat, and didn’t get out, B) I can’t remember the last time he got a 2 out hit, C) what happened to the patented Mounty line drive doubles hooked down the left field line on 1-2 hops to the wall, and the rifle ropes smacked down the right field line? D) how many times lately has he hunted a 1st/2nd pitch fastball, gotten one middle middle, and swung through it. I feel like he’s sat on a different pitches too early in the count, got the pitch able in a very favorable location, and missed it, foul ball or otherwise. Which leads me to feeling like Mounty is trying to hit homers every at bat, that’s the best I can come up with at least. It’s the swings he’s taking, the lack of doubles he normally hits(I think he still leads the team in doubles bc of his earlier numbers)and the look on his face after those homer looking hits that result in a deep fly ball out. I remember Mounty just kind of shrugging his shoulders a bit, cracking a smile as he kinda tilted his head to one side as his reaction to deep fly ball outs that he just missed. I do not remember him having a look of shock where he gives me this vibe of, “guys can you believe that? What do I have to do to catch a break here?” With his look. Does anyone else think Mounty is pressing and getting really bad results because of it, lately? It’s not like there’s been a league adjustment that found a hole in his swing midseason, and at this point you can’t call this a slump anymore. He had that one game against the lefty where he had 3 hits, but even then, 2 of them were weakly hit, but well placed. Aside from the 9th inning Oakland homer when we were down by 12 runs, I feel like he’s squared up the baseball 5-6 times in the past month, month plus. I’m clearly guessing, but does anyone else see anything that I’m missing or have any insights/opinions? Because we really need him to hit like he always has, especially from the middle of the lineup. Maybe it started as a slump and then he thought he might find himself out of a job/traded because of the young talent knocking on the door and the fact that O’Hearn and Tony can both play first, so now it’s swallowed him mentally? Regardless, he’s flat out better than this without question. He’s even been chasing balls in the dirt with two strikes, which Mounty really hasn’t ever done since his rookie season.

The dawgs are no longer barking… the season is over. This team lacks the focus, hustle, and fundamental skills like small ball to win. Holmes is not a closer. DJ and Rizzo are done. Stanton hits a meaningless HR every 30 ABs when he actually plays. Torres and Radon are headcases. Verdugo & Nestor are no shows… We don’t have a legit leadoff hitter. Starting pitching is average. Bullpen needs lots of help. Soto will walk after season ends. We’re looking at another decade of no winning. Its truly sad.

Had as much as I can take of Verdugo. Hasn't hit a ball in 3 weeks and made multiple bad moves in the outfield at the same time. Move Holmes into the setup position too. Weaver is far better.

Well okay. The last month or so has not been great. Situations have arisen where we are too reliant on too few players. We just need to be sharper in all areas. Then we'll get back on track. This is still a great team.
