SEVENTH HEAVEN !!!! Everyone, Manager of the Year Oliver J. Marmol and his St. Louis Cardinals (the GREATEST team in the league and in sports history) are like DJ KHALED ... all they do is "win, win, win, no matter what" and have been the MOST DOMINANT TEAM since the All-Star Break. What an OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION today! Gonna have GOOSEBUMPS when I see my squad go 114-48 in the regular season, TAKE the NL Central, MAKE the postseason once more and in two/three months (whenever the games are in October/November), HOIST that TWELFTH World Series championship. Nolan James Arenado, could he be the Most Valuable Player of the League winner?! In the bottom of the first inning, the 31-year-old from Newport Beach, California gets the offense rolling by SMASHING a RBI single to left field, driving in Dylan James Carlson. A FILTHY bottom of the second inning, OMG ! First, Dylan James Carlson, the 23-year-old from Elk Grove, California, CRUSHES a RBI double to center field, bringing in Paul Sterling DeJong. Then, Paul Edward Goldschmidt, the 34-year-old from Wilmington, Delaware, has a CRAFTY sacrifice fly to center field, letting Yadier Benjamin Molina go home. Finally, Nolan James Arenado DEMOLISHES a ball to left center field, sending Dilly C and Brendan Michael Donovan to the plate. What a STATEMENT made in the bottom of the fifth inning. First, Paul Sterling DeJong, the 29-year-old from Orlando, Florida, SMACKS a RBI double to right field to drive in Lars Taylor-Tatsuji Nootbaar. Then, Thomas Hyunsu Edman, the 27-year-old from Pontiac, Michigan, PUMMELS a RBI single to center field to bring in Pauly D. Finally, Paul Edward Goldschmidt has PLATE DISCIPLINE for a walk as Tommy comes home! Paul Sterling DeJong, what a MOMENT for the GREATEST shortstop in the league! In the bottom of the eighth inning, he DEMOLISHES a HISTORIC 100th bomb to left field, letting Nolan James Arenado and Tyler Alan O'Neill go to home. Folks, we watched a LEGEN ... wait for it ... DARY performance by the GREATEST pitcher in baseball history, Adam Parrish Wainwright, the 40-year-old from Brunswick, Georgia. UNCLE CHARLIE is TAKING that Cy Young Award this season! Those "Cardinals need starting pitching" critics sure are SHUSHED now. MAD PROPS go to Christopher Lee Stratton, Jordan McKinley Hicks, Patrick Joseph Naughton and Ryan Dalton Helsley, part of the best bullpen in the league, for the ROCK HARD defense! So get nasty get mean and start playing the game rough and rowdy!!! Stretch that extra base hit, run through a stop sign at third base and be safe!!! Be aggressive!! Swing on the first pitch and put it over the fence!! Get mad and get ejected when the call is unreasonable!! Show some emotion and some feeling out there!! Cardinal fan; Dodgers are way better than the yankees
Brilliant victory!! 👏
Love to see dejong do well hes had so many ups and downs but glad we have stuck with him and he is still a cardinal!
I can't believe we swept the Yankees
Cardinals sweep and the Yankees get swept. It doesn't get much better than that in major league baseball!
Sheesh 7 game winning streak hot as heck
HOW SWEEP IT IS!!!!!
08:32 Pure class by Yadi. A special kinship exists between umps and catchers that extends beyond bad calls.
This Cardinals offence has so much ice. Clutching up at all the fright times. WS contenders for sure if they can keep this up. That said, the umpire was dogshit this game. So many terrible calls against the Yankees. Also big shoutout to De Jong. Ive been doubting this dude for the last 2 years, but it looks like his time off from the Majors did him good. He’s been looking different lately. Love to see a good bounce back.

I guess I'm a little biased, but the ump was dogshit for both teams, they just highlighted the bad ones for the Yankees because Boone got thrown out for arguing balls and strikes.
*First time, I am watching the highlights twice in a row ... this is how nice this game was!*

Went to Fri game, nailbiter on Sat, and then this gem. Love Cardinal Nation ! (They need to take that S off around the stadium) It's Cardinal Nation, NOT Cardinals Nation ! "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor not a sign maker!"
Definitely need a day off after playing so hard an well. Great work indeed.
TIME TO FLY !! #12in22

It's nice to see the Cardinals show some emotion!! Come on guys we are right here where we need to be you are in the playoffs you are a handful of games away from the world series all you have to do is want it more than the other guys!!! It's time to put the pedal all the way to the floor!!! From now until October!! Possibly the beginning of November!! Let's go!!!! SEE YOU AT THE TOP!!!
Glad to see the Cards rolling but another inconsistent game by the home plate ump. Missed strikes and balls way off the plate being called strikes. It really detracts from the game.
Great series birds! Only question I have is how many more times do I have to watch O'Neil strike out? Surely we have a bench player or some AAA talent that can stop that bleed, right?
umpire was sick

He was definitely something, except accurate.
I think that umpire hates the Yankees. But I don't care enough for the Yankees to feel bad for them
These Yankees need to give the umpire a break it’s there manager’s fault
Everyone's human and makes mistakes, and umpires are no different. With 2 strikes, we were taught as kids to protect and if it's anywhere close, you gotta swing.....but this game had some really bad strike calls, really the whole 3 game series was pretty bad on balls/strikes.
it's so weird how surprised the Yankee broadcasters sound when we gave ovations to Matt Carpenter.

Yeah, they don’t get it. If a player had done for them what Carpenter had done for the Cardinals and then came back, they’d probably be booing him every plate appearance.

When batting improved, pitching becomes awful for Yankees. Classic game. Surely Yankees will have to find a way to come back and come back hard.
Yankee broadcasters don't get it if you formally played as a cardinal you will be embraced by us forever besides Todd Zeale
Plate ump bought and paid for. Still, can't hate on the Cards. Very well played series from one of my favorite NL teams.

Idk if you watched the game or just watched the highlights but he was very inconsistent for both teams behind the plate. The whole first 3 innings wainwright wasn’t getting any calls on curveballs in the upper 1/2 of the zone.

3:13 could have been the game winner but the bullpen blew it. Luckily, the Cardinals won.
