hellskitchen7853 You have to look at his hits in his career and his runs batted in and from my calculations he is doing nothing wrong in these departments and with Alex Verdugo’s attitude it comes with a sense of style and mission it also comes with poise energy and motivation CC Sabathia had an attitude as well with the Yankees and with that attitude it came with him being a competitive player so I don’t know what your talking about 😂😂😂😂😂

I don't trust the Yankee Brass or any aspect of the dugout in terms of managing, training, conditioning, development ~ they are outclassed by so many other organizations..... this team is so 1 dimensional its frightening. Not sure if Soto changes that dynamic at all.

I love it! This are the real type of Yankee players, that we the fans want to see every day playing 24/7 baby uu! The reconstruction of a competitive team has begun very smart and solid. We need good clutch contact players out there every single day.

Verdugo is a nice pickup. .264 was a down year and even that’s not bad. He’s a left handed OF. Makes total sense. Now he can be maybe flipped in a package deal for Soto as well.

The Yankees are hoping to sing him as a free agent when Soto becomes one after next season. U really think the Yankees are gonna give up just gonna trade for him and not try to sing him as a Free agent especially if he proformes great for them. Also he might not be Ted Williams but hes exactly what the Yankees been missing for almost a decade. A lefty bat that can hit 40 homers in that short right field at Yankee stadium. He's the perfect fit for them

Well yeah. If you want something great you have to give up something great. In this case, a bunch of very good young players. Otherwise the Padres will just ship Soto off to another team and the Yankees will have wasted yet another year of Judge and Cole's prime years. Not many of those left.

I’m shocked, but he can be a key player to our Yankees team. He hit a .264 last season which was his worst in 4 years which is better than what we have seen from recent Yankee players. If they can’t land Soto why not go for Whit Merrifield, he’s stated he’ll play anywhere besides catcher which can help our OF situation and if we do need someone to plug in at 2B Whit can plug in, he’s played everywhere so maybe Yankees should look at Whit as well

How so, I watch at least 80-90 games a year. Gleyber’s lack of effort and errors which directly contributed to 7 lost games by giving up the tying or the lead for the other team with his errors in the 8th inning and after. This doesn’t even take into account the errors lazy running runs to first earlier in the game. Players won’t say it but even they don’t appreciate that. Fan since 84.

It's good news for Red Sox Nation that such a "takes a lot of plays off", self-centered (as opposed to team centered) player is now gone. Often concerned with what new tattoo or jewelry to sport, his continuous mental lapses in the field, on the basepaths, and at the plate will no longer be endured by Red Sox fans.

I know he has had some issues. I'm not really concerned about the Red Sox. They are a non factor. A team the constantly finishes in last place. Hold major league record from going from last to a championship and then back to last with back to back last place finished. Maybe Fitch is the best of the three pitchers they received. Verdugo will be fine in Pinstripes. He might even be a player they include in a Soto trade. But if they keep him he is a good enough player, and I believe hi behavior will be fine.
