Yamaha Y-Connect VS Kymco Noodoe | Useless Or Worth It?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

#KymcoNoodoe

Recently Yamaha unveiled the latest version of their popular 150cc scooter which is the 2021 Aerox and top of the line variant of the Nmax, both equipped with Yamaha's Y-Connect app feature which makes both scooters more intuitive.
But the question is, is it really worth the upgrade or is nothing more than a marketing gimmick from Yamaha, a cheap excuse to increase the price? And is Kymco's Noodoe app far more useful and usable than it's competitor for the same price?

HAHAHAH! 🤣

ive heard that the kymco like 150 nodoe variant is faced out.. if true, kymco is kinda wrong facing it out. its the most advanced instrument panel a classic scooter had.

My POV, yung Y-Connect isn't useless. But rather, hindi na siya practical for entry level motorcycle. Lalong nagmamahal yung motor. BUT at the end of the day, hindi yan ilalagay diyan kung hindi naman yan para sa consumer. Ang kagandahan sa market ngayon, napakarami ng motor kaya may mapagpipilian ka.

Finally a peace of mind kung bakit useless talaga y connect ng yamaha, seriously? Ta.as presyo sa y connect? Yung pcx ng honda that has slightly upgrades maintain it's price mainit competensya, pero yung bluetooth connectivity ng suzuki access in india and some of the burgman street variants na meron bluetooth connectivity is usefull dn kaya paps? Sana ma sagot mo paps, Cheers

I agree with you paps, useless ang y connect at marketing 🐂 💩 lang ng yamaha, lahat ng mga important na info eh nasa dashboard mona, buti pa yung noodoe eh kayang mag display ng maps tapos ibang feature pero isa din yun masyadong mahal, 20k ang dagdag para lang merong noodoe, parang sa materials used like lcd screen, Bluetooth receiver parang ang mahal lalo na may android phone kanang mabibili ng halos 3000 lang, kaya both eh not worth it, ang pinaka useful na feature na madadagdag sa mga motor ngayon eh yung kapareho ng noodoe, yung navigation, pwde pa offline, pero not worth 20k padin yun for me, bumili kanlng ng bracket at phone kahit cherry mobile lang downloadan mo ng offline maps ng google and voila meron kanang navigation, pwde modin palitan ang wallpaper mo dun hahaha halos 4k lang magagastos mo if phone and bracket lang kung long ride tlga at lowbat ka di palagay ka ng charger dali lang naman

EXPENSIVE? My Kymco JOCKEY is, after 480,000 kilometres and two engine refurbishments still as solid as the day I bought it TEN YEARS ago. It's called value for money. And I still use it for "local" trips.

HONDA USED TO HAVE A FINANCIAL interest in KYMCO. Ten years ago there were many common parts - under legal agreements. Around 2012 KYMCO struck out on it's own course and now far fewer parts are common.

I purchased my first Kymco in 2009 (a GranDink) and remain a loyal client since then, buying a new vehicle every 2 to 3 years. Since that, I was eagerly waiting to have a navigational screen on my dashboard… and finally came my new DownTown 350i with “Noodoe”: the most worthless, poorly designed, user-unfriendly app ever developed by a company. Let sum-up: 1) It is literally impossible to put the street number of an address in Buenos Aires, IM-PO-SSI-BLE. So just landmarks. Except from the favorite’s addresses, somehow you are able to put the street number on those… don’t ask why. 2) But do not worry about 1), because navigation lost connection 95% of the time, and the screen get frozen. From the last 2 month since I bought the bike, navigation worked 5 times tops. No kidding, utterly unreliable, better to ride with a paper map. 3) Regarding the other panels: For all the electronic data that you could display, the only customizable part is that they allow you to put a naked lady photo on the background of the clock. Forget about displaying RPM, temperature, voltage, millage, or other necessary driving information. Just mirror GoogleMaps, Waze, or any other of the million well developed navigational apps. But noooo, they decided to re-invent the wheel, with no motivation, money or respect for their clients. I feel like they are laughing at my face, my next bike is NOT going to be a Kymco if they do not improve this sad excuse for an app.
