Yamaha Brough a selection of custom variants of their popular XSR700 bikes along to the show this year to demonstrate what could be done with their CP2 engined machines.
On display were full on customs from Down and Out, Lamb Engineering and House of Cool, to the new XTribute on sale at dealerships which demonstrates what can be done to a stock XSR700 with just a few easily achievable modifications.

The stock XSR 700 X-Tribute looks miles better than any of these, although I like the tyres on the last 700.

Totally agree, most of these custom jobs just don't do it for me!
Please believe me I'm yamaha fan.. love all these creations but I wish yamaha would make standard modern bikes a bit more asthetically pleasing...fantastic motors last year I didn't buy a tracer 07 coz styling just didn't do it...cheers from dave

Funny how the best looking one for me is the almost stock 'Tribute', but 17'' front wheel,? If you're going the XT route the thing needs to go off road so I can't see how Yamaha can justify a 10% price increase for the same geometry/parts?
How much is the 900 lc replica ? I love it
just sold my xsr900 before the shed show this year. had it for three years since it came out. Loved it. done amazing trips on it. but always felt something was missing. haven't been able to figure out what exactly to this day.

@@Lokitbara I agree. a bit of soul is missing there. All these cosmetic exercises - I'd done a fair bit on mine - won't hide it.

Do you have a complete list of the mods done to the XTribute? I can see the Vintech rear light, but I'm really wondering who made the seat, the high mud guard and which handlebar that is. And the tires as well - they look sexy! Hope you respond!

So far I've found out that the seat actually is stock (!). And the tires Are probably the Conti TKC 80s. Still wonder about the mudguard though.
6:50 ...and cut the exhaust off! THAT'S IT?!? This way, I can be a customiser, too! SO-FUCKIN'-EASY!!! :))))
The akrapovic headers doesnt look good on the xsr900

"Enduro" bike are typically dirt bikes, "Endurance" is used with road bikes in regards to Endurance racers that compete in races like the "Bol d'Or 24 hour race" and Suzuka 8 hour race, etc.
The tire have Knobs hence they are called "Knobby tires" they Don't have knobbles on them so don't call them "knobbly" Clueless youtubers & hipsters call them "knobbly tires" because they don't know what the fuck they are looking at let alone talking about.
