For those who talk Harleys only, Please note that Sonny Barger( the guy who started Hell's Angels) recently said "if I wasn't tied into riding Harleys with my club, I'd be riding a big bore Japanese bike these days".

Yes, I like the drag bars better than the stock handle bars. Some what a better ride feel, but they allowed me to relax more which is what riding is all about.

I put slash cut straights on my 01. I had to do the jets and plug the ais. It was way too lean otherwise. It backfired when you backed off of it and I was always afraid of overheating. It sounds a lot like your bike. I got a lot more power out of mine. I would love run it down a 1/4 mile track to see what it would do.

The elevation of my riding area is anywhere from 4500 to 5500 feet. I have a 2000 V Star 1100. Do you still recommend the 150 main jest, 22.5 pilot jets and .5mm shims for the Bub Big Willys Exhaust at that elevation?

Bike sounds awesome! Do you ride with the baffles out? I have a 2005 Vstar 1100 with aftermarket slip on exhaust. I pulled the baffles out of the slip ons. Trying to find out if I need to put a jet kit in the carbs.

sounds great man how much did the pipes cost you? I'm buying me a 1100 this spring. I'm tired of my 1200 sportster. I took it to sturgis and I'm just way to big for the bike

What windscreen is that? I have the drag bars too and have been searching for a windscreen that will go nicely with them

just got an 05 custom. i wanna replace stock bars with drag bars...someone told me they tried them and it made their shoulders hurt. is this more of a comfy ride to you than the stock bars?

where did you get your tach? would love to add one to mine. was the install difficult?

I'm getting smoke out of both front head exhaust. I put v and h slip ons on today. I didn't notice a exhaust gasket .. could that be it?

Sounds like you need Gaskets & make sure they are on in the right direction. Sometimes when you put new exhaust on they will smoke. It's whatever they put in the pipes. It burns off usually on your first ride. Mine did the same. Smoke started coming out of the front from back pressure. That's when I noticed the gasket was all chewed up so I replaced it & no more smoke. Just make sure it is in the right direction. Stay safe!

No baffles. You can see the baffles standing by the bike.
