I can just image how all those other guys must have felt sitting on their lawn mower engined pigs watching that gorgeous RACING motorcycle lap them all!!! Priceless! That’s what happens when you race street bikes against actual race bikes (like bringing a knife to a gun fight). “Hey, that isn’t fair!” It’s a travesty, a crime against all that is right and holy, that they have done away with the continued development and production of the two-stroke engine. No other design or configuration can match its power to weight potential, let alone the visceral excitement and emotive power of these machines....less rotating mass, less moving parts, less complicated....it’s horrible. Motocross was absolutely RUINED....now the sport has lost so much of the simplicity, accessibility and economic appeal it once had, not to mention the excitement from a spectator perspective. It’s turned into lawn mower racing.... and roadracing has suffered a similar fate, especially GP racing.... the skill to master a 500cc two stroke GP Bike....just to ride the bike, let alone go fast on one, was such a high level. They were so exciting to watch. Oh well.... they will al be electric soon anyway I guess, given our collective lack of backbone to check up this inane bullshit road politicians have taken us down. Very nice to see someone out there whipping some ass on a 20 year old bike.... just proves my point.

This causes me deep, deep calm and joy! :D Top job!
What a weapon of a bike, skilled in keeping it on the boil. After they banned 2 strokes from GP, I lost interest, this is awesome.
Had a 1KT for a while. I miss that sound so much, good times man!
fast on the straights and even faster through the bends ! a real racer.
Watching these go around Bathurst in the late 70s was pure racing
Beautiful motorcycle a real race bike, anyone who hasn't rode a two stroke grand prix bike won't understand the art of riding it,especially that long left hander it looks like high side city on a two stroke, big four strokes are easier to ride,I have a 70s tz so am appreciating the video.
Next time install the camera on the back, I would love to see the other guys trying to catch you.

Pure talent and a great choice for this very curvy track. Well done. As kenny roberts made clear, you don’t have to have the biggest displacement just the biggest balls.

Absolutely flying! Love it ✊🏻💨
I had a 79 RD 400 Daytona Special. I can't tell you how many 750's and 900's I had stand up and take notice while out hammering the country roads.
WHAT A START!!!
La TZ 250, on l'avait déjà essayée à Carole, alors faut pas déconner : C'est une deux temps et c'est le genre de truc que tu perds tes bras quand ça accélère ! :o) La TZ, c'est une tuerie !
The power of love n 2-stroke!
What a machine, well done
Miss the Formula USA Racing!! Race what you brung+the bikes they made to go against the YZR 500!! 😊
Thats one well set up TZ 🤘🤘
In my place this two stroke is legend and known as yamaha tzm.
Wow, I had no idea this on-board video of me had made it to KZread. The bike is a 1996 Yamaha TZ250 4TW. This video makes me want to get out and race it again! I wrote an article for Cycle World magazine about this TZ: www.cycleworld.com/v-twin-racers-ebr-1190rx-and-yamaha-tz250-comparison-review/

That was exhilarating. Well done
What a great Job mate!
Nicely sorted chassis and engine with power band from 8,000 to over 12,000. That’s pretty wide power band by TZ standards. The wider the power band the less they are likely to spit you off and send you into the shrubbery when they come on the pipe, IMHO. Nice!

Listened to the buzzing hornet, stinging those roaring lions around the circuit. But from the mids of the video it was boring to watch (but fun to listen to) as there were no "versus" around. In fact there were none from the beginning !! And yes, start was great.
That’s How you juice every gear! This guy is good! I spank my Aprilia every weekend! 165mph front wheel in the air
Beautiful!
She's running nice and cool too
So bitchen! That race was over before it even started! Killer riding
A very well ridden 250.
That was Awesome 😎😎😎
Well done!

Pure class
I never loved 4 strokes. Miss my Honda RS 250R😭
Looked like an expert level club race but for the vintage class. How does it stack up against the current 600 and liter bike classes? Love the TZ and sounded like you have great tuning skills with the 2 stroke. Tune it wrong and you'll fly higher than American Airlines.

Some Moto 2 lap records are slower than the old 250 class!
Proper racing machine.....motogp boys have got it so easy on 4 strokes.....two strokes bit like a black widow...sometimes ya get a good ride other times she'll bite ya fucking head off
There's actually 1 bike you didn't catch up to. At 0:44 you can see him in front of the bike you're about to overtake, but you never actually catch up to him. Still really impressive riding though. Absolutely love the 2-strokes!

I actually love two strokes, but it's right there in the video. You can't seem to accept the fact that there was 1 bike he didn't overtake. You really should look at the video again, maybe on a bigger screen. I also have never owned a gsxr and don't want to, your strange aquisations give you away. I have a vtr 1000, which you would be able to tell from my picture if you knew anything about bikes. I know for a fact this guy in the video on the tz250 would absolutely destroy me on the track, but the simple fact is, there is clearly still a bike ahead of him that he didn't get passed.

Yeah buddy 👍
A real race bike!
my dream car! When will I get it?
Two Stroke Power!!!
Was this acually a race? Looks like the other guys were doing a practice lap against this bike? No one around to race after the first lap.
menacing the bike had no more to give.
250 GP bikes are a good investment right now.
Its a thoroughbred racer vs motorcycles that can be used to do errants and shopping , what did you expect ?😂
rider and 2 stroke power!

Honestly there actually worse! Only about 30 hp more and handle like a sack of bolts. If Yamaha had kept developing the 750,a massive difference, but that bike looked like a mid 90's TZ it would flog a 1970's TZ750.

@@jarnosaarinen4583 I dunno about that - the TZ750 was a monster. I saw a TZ750 drag racing the 1/4 mile in 1977. It had a tall road racing rear sprocket - completely wrong for dragging and the strip was slightly up hill. He still ran a 10.3 second time at over 140 mph.
