Not only are mechanics charging an arm and a leg, few are experienced enough to diagnose the problem. I can’t imagine what the skilled labor market will look like in 10 years. Everyone better start learning as much as possible and start networking. 👍👍👍

Here in Ireland Motorbike mechanics are very hard to find and it can take up to 2 months or more just to get your car in for repair. Most younger people now only want to go to collage to get office jobs and see no value in learning mechanics or the building trade, they want climate controlled offices and ergonomic workstations ! + a lot of cars are packed with tech we don't want and are very complicated and even from a mechanical point of view they are difficult to fix as manufacturers assemble these cars with little thought or consideration for mechanics. We need to make laws that make cars easy to fix and are more mechanical than electronics and software. Software was one of the reasons I handed my VW electric car back, along with touch screen for most of the cars functions, it's ridiculous and it was infuriating so I went back to petrol manual car with as little tech as possible, good old halogen bulbs cheap to fix vs expensive matric headlights that can cost over 2000 Euros to install a new complete unit that has to be programmed to the ECU and now I got nice manual climate controls, nice buttons and knobs, in other words, I'm in complete control of every function of the car ( ok well almost, as much as I can get ) A lot of motorbikes now have shitty TFT screens and all sorts of electronics and software, no thanks, they can keep it. I like Royal Enfield bikes but even they are starting to introduce more tech and have spedometers with integrated LCD and Nav screens, no it just doesn't look good on such bikes. Keep the TFT screens for the plastic bikes and leave the rest alone. I love bikes like the Yamaha Virago, look great and free from tech. I have the Tmax 500 and going to get a manual bike, I rode a CBF600 yesterday and I loved it, much nicer to ride and much better handling on bends. I also need to practice a manual for my bike test but the Tmax has given me good experience. The Tmax is too expensive to maintain but I can do most of the maintenance on a normal bike, the Tmax is fun but it's just not really worth the money and maintenance, in my opinion of course.

Question how many parts and screws were leftover? I call it a weight reduction plan.
