My very first bike when I was 16 was an 82' KZ 750. My second bike when I was 21 was an 05' R1 Raven. Everyone thought I would be dead before I hit 22. I did what most people are too scared to do, and I came out just fine. It's not the size of the bike, it's the maturity of the rider. Remember that we are all in charge of our bikes, and remember to always treat them with respect.
God why can't people just appreciate that the guy created a piece of work that is commendable? Ugh. Nice bike man.
hands down one of the cleanest ravens ive seen!!! good work!
i had a 06 r1.almost just like that one. very nice I cant wait to get another

Nice! Rise safe, always wear your gear. These bikes have a ton of power so respect em and treat em right and you will have years of fun. Not trying to lecture just advice. Still have mine as well and running like a champ!

Yeah, definitely does have a lot of power I've put on ~650 miles and I hardly go above 7000 rpms, still very much getting used to it

+Richard Bibeault The real power kicks in from 7000rpm and up! It pulls really hard after 7k. Enjoy your new bike!

+temptation2003 it's been too slippery from rain/mist out lately for any serious acceleration, bikes probably going away for the winter, so I'll see in the spring!
Hellz yea carbon fiber would look great in the areas you suggested.
I love the alarm. They wont be setting on your bike with nobody noticing.
I want one soooo bad.
Nice bike! You should def. put some slip-ons (Yoshimura tri-oval carbon fibers are sick on these bikes!) and also put a resistor to slow up the flash rate of your blinkers! Cheers
Very nice man! I have the same bike, you have to get the Vortex black rear sprocket, that would complete the whole black on black package. Please tell me you've topped her out!
Beautiful bike... only thing i'd change is exhaust just cause everyone has their own pref =p but very very beautiful
amazing bike bro looks sick. what's the name of the alarm please ?
Hey where did you buy ur HIDS & T-10 bulbs from? The MJS exhaust is that full or slip on and is it a deep sound or mellow.
sexy ass bike... one thing looks hard for people to see blinker on from front and back? back one looks dim and front one looks like its pointing to side
I'll be concidering that alarm btw, cool and important feature. Mine's stock, any suggestions?
I'd say not to more carbon fiber on it...in my opinion it's like crome. It's not hard to put to much. But just my opinion. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL bike bro!

@@southeastbikelife400 Cool, ride safe and have fun. These bikes have a ton of power.
Your bike is so fuckin dope
Wanted to know where did you get your HIDS from and T10 bulbs?
if you're planning to get carbon fiber covers on the exhausts , mind as well just get an after market exhaust like akrapovic carbon fiber. it goes nicely with the r1 and add 2 or 3 hp to the bike.
Everything is cooler in black.
hey beautiful bike im thinking about getting and R! myself. about how much did you pay for the bike and everything on it.
nice bike bro how is that throttlemeister working for you because i want to get one for my r6....just wanna know if its worth it????? thanks
I sort off agree with you about starting on a smaller bike, but that's actually also a bit bullshit, because you get used to the smaller bikes and then lose your respect for them and that's when you try stupid shit that could have a bad ending, for a 1000cc you keep your respect, i know, when i was 16 i got the 2006 R1 and now I'm 18, and I'm still very cautious of the bike.... btw, love your bike!!! ride safe :)
Where did you buy the LED marker lights at?
that alarm system is B.A. where did you get it and how much did it cost? Also can it work on any thing (Four Wheeler) ?
i think yes for the fiber on the tank but not the exhaust. in my opinion dont paint the fiber it looks great as it is. take a look at this years 2013 bmw carbon fiber edition.they kept natural look of the metal body and it looks insane.
Thank you for the info, im pretty sure one on a cummins before, not positive
did the alarm system come with the bike?
Jesus Loves Carbin Fiber!
Yes on carbon fiber
Very cool bike im going for the yamahaR15 2.0 search it its the little sister 👍
What do you do for a living?
Sweet ride, but is having the tag tucked just over the wheel legal?

Technically no. However I haven't had any problem yet or been pulled over for it.
John I bought an r3 about 8 months ago. I was looking to upgrade to a r6 or 636 but my dream bike is an r1. I ride my bros gsxr1000 comfortably but I'm still debating if I should skip the 600 and go straight to liter. There's a sexy 05 r1 at a dealership near me. What are some opinions?

Well, in my honest opinion it depends on what kind of person you are and your skill level along with riding experience. I owned 3 different dirtbikes and 1 streetbike before getting my R1. With that said, if you are a smart, coordinated person meaning excellent hand eye coordination along with great common sense and self control then you should be fine on the R1. Its a monster for power and will hurt you or eat your lunch if you don't respect it and drive carefully. If you use common sense and just enjoy the ride its a amazing and awesome bike to have. Power is super smooth, yet ferocious on the mid to top end. If you feel super comfortable on the r3 and think you are ready for a different bike i would say go with the r1, because if you get the r6 maybe in another 8 months you will want to upgrade to a r1. Ive driven my R1 for many years and rode my friends CBR 600 last summer and a 600 feels almost gutless compared to a 1000cc sportbike. The power difference really is incredible. Main thing is use common sense and self control, respect the bike and power and you will love it!

Temptation2003 I love hitting the Rev limiter on my r3 and accelerating through turns. It's so small and nimble yet has a lot of heart. I know on an r1 I wouldn't be able to push the bike that hard. But I guess I wouldn't have to because it's such a beast down low. My next question is did you find your friends Cbr more fun to ride opposed to your r1?
@Temptation_Offroad

@@KidCannon4407 Nope not even close, to me the R1 is one of the best and most fun bikes I've ridden and owned.
nice bike man . but isn't this a 2005 model ? mine is a 2006.
How much did it cost
WOW LIKE THE BIKE WHERE JA PUT THE BATTERY,S ON THE BACK WITH THE TRANTULA? PS IVE 1 SICK NIFTY 50cc BEET YO ASS LOL!

+buddybestor Yeah, still have it. Only 10,000 miles on it so far. Haven't driven it much the last 2 summers because i've been too busy working. Bike still runs and feels like brand new though, still very strong motor wise and everything else too! No problems so far just change oil and put on new brake pads thats been it!

IV,E A HONDA 50 RED AND WHITE ITS A 74 MODEL I,LL RACE FOR PINKS! AND STILL BEET YOUR ASS!
You guys with your tiny turn signals are an accident waiting to happen just because you think it looks cool. The fools in cars can't see the front signals and when the rear signal is on they don't know if you're turning right or left because it just looks like a tail light blinking. I'll stick with my stock signals because they do the job right. Screw looking cool, I'd rather be alive and be cool.

+Joseph Liptak I hope you'd rather be gay than cool... because you are. You can build a sexy sleek bike with better signals than OEM, you just aren't smart enough to know how. If you get a blaster X taillight and not an ebay special it will be FAR brighter than your oem set up. The front corner lights can be converted into halogen turn signals, and there are bright flush replacements for the front-side signals.
My gsxr600 would smoke that piece of shit
